    I started carving in the mid eighties. Rick and his videos were a staple in my development years. Now, I've been carving professionally since 1991 and have Rick and Harold Enlow to credit. Thanks, guys. It's been a great trip.

    "…and pretty soon, they'll be looking right back at you!" What a magnificent gem that sentence is … pretty much sums up the marvel that is wood carving. Great video, Dan and Rick. I'd like to find out what wood and tools Rick is using here. And yes, the combination of Rick's topic and simultaneous carving is awesome as well. Keep it up, guys!

    Lovely carving. BTW "Ring of Bright Water" was set in and around an old cottage called "Carmusfearna" near Glenelg in North West Scotland. When we visited it all that was left was a plaque set into a rock saying that this was the setting for the book.
