Enjoyed hearing the stories. Amen to your stories about communication and common sense about 1:50 and the VN pizza. I do understand🙂. Take care mya friend!
It looks like Dalat is your new favourite city. Low cost, logical and I looked up on Google that the weather is cooler. In Sarawak there is a town called Dalat too. Just like there is a town called Bukit Tinggi in Pahang, Malaysia. I enjoy listening to your adventures as I do my house work.
Glad you like them! I've been so busy in Vietnam that I've fallen behind in my Behind-the-Scenes storytelling, and I guess I have a lot to say... Even more than usual?
So interesting to hear your recap of our trip to Dalat and the limousine door part cracked me up. Half asleep and needed to climb out from the front was a challenge indeed. But oh yeah to confirm, you did sleep on the way at least for a short while. Glad you have time to work on your editing in the cool climate of Dalat buddy.
I was just happy that they eventually managed to close the door. Climbing out through the front seats was not a big problem. It was a fun and amusing way to end our night's journey. But if they were completely unable to close the door, I'm not sure that they would have been able to keep driving. We might have been stuck there just on the outskirts of Dalat for a long time while waiting for repairs or another vehicle. Luckily, we made it the rest of the way.👍
Maybe the alpine coasters in Vietnam are more modern than the ones here but the automatic breaking that I know tends to be mechanical and not computerised :D
It's very possible that the braking on this Alpine Coast was also just mechanical and not computerized at all. I was just saying that off the top of my head, assuming that some kind of computer system was involved in slowing me down. But I don't know for sure how it works. 🤪
1:45:49 I believe the system would be: you sit down, don’t wait for someone to come to you, just call them over. After you done eating, call them over again and telling them you want to pay. At least that’s what I would have done. It’s ok to yell when you want to order and yell when you want the bill for these kinds of restaurants.
Everything there eventually made sense. I think on my first visit, they were unusually busy. It was extremely crowded and chaotic. And that's why I was kind of forgotten. They had large tour groups that they had to take care of. And me just standing there or sitting there by myself, I kind of got lost in the shuffle. But on my next visit, they noticed me right away. And they indicated to me that I should just sit down anywhere. And then a server came over to me right away to take my order. They entered my order onto a handheld device and then they placed a little plastic triangle on my table with a number on it. And when my meal was ready, it was brought directly to me. And then to pay, you could call someone over, or you just bring your little plastic triangle over to the cash register. They enter your number into the system, and then you pay them. So, they did have a very organized system. I just happened to go there on a crazy busy day the first time. I've been back multiple times since then, and everything has gone very smoothly.
Yep the old throttled by your slowest component problem. USB 3 has been in for years but I rarely get that speed when moving data around simply because one component is only USB 2. My bugbear are hubs which often have one or two USB 3 ports and four USB ports. Then there's hard drives which were sold with USB 2 speed for years after USB 3 came in. One day I may get the highway right.
And it seems like things get even more complicated when you have a MacBook but use a cable meant for USB on a PC. There seems to be some speed throttling going on there as well.
@@planetdougbehindthescenes good to know, us Vietnamese actually have a reputation of being unpunctual. Like in a wedding, peoples are invited at 18:00 but that’s because they are expected to be there at 19:00, the starting of the ceremony.
I like your videos 😊

Dalat is a wonderful place. It is nice and cool and quite scenic. I feel quite at home here.
Nice long video and stories

Antoni Gaudi could be the famous Spanish architect you are thinking about.
Yes, that's right. That's the person and the name I was trying to think of.
I read some of your blog. When you say people not very logical and not in sync with you,I think i know which country you were talking about😆

Củ Chi tunnels are a bit of a tourist magnet, but have you checked out the tunnels in Sài Gòn that are next to unknown for tourists❓
No, I haven't heard about any tunnels like that.
56:08 some would, but most definitely not everything
So far, I've had very good luck with everything. Everything has continued to be punctual and well organized. 👍

I'm guessing that it was invented in the 1960s
