The collars with a bell can drive cats insanse. Imagine how you'd feel with a bell constantly making noise around you neck. A noise you can't reach. Please consider removing the little bell 💕

My cat, who was making a hobby of messing with her spay incision, got out of five different attempts to stop her. The sixth approach worked. Look on the web for Elizabethan collar alternative cat jacket There are commercial versions now, but this is what kept my little black post-surgery patient happy for almost a week: 1. Take an old t-shirt. 2. Cut out a square. 15"x15" worked for my small 5 month old cat, normal adult cats might start with 20"x20". 3. Place square on floor or table. 4. Grab cat and mark spots where her arms and legs will need to be when she is standing normally, while avoiding getting killed: -Leg slits should be as close to one edge as possible without making the fabric tear when installed on cat. -Arm slits should be about 3" away from the other edge. 5. Cut small slits in the fabric at those spots (you do not have to cut out a circle, just a slit, the material will let the cat's arms and legs go through as needed). 6. Grab cat again and get her arms and legs through the right slits, again while avoiding getting killed. 7. Pull the fabric up so it lies tight against her underside and quickly secure it tightly along her back before she kills you. Roll it up along the back as needed so it will be tight. The rolled material can be secured with: -Big safety pins (my method) -Basting stitch with needle and thread. -Velcro if you want to be really fancy. I did safety pins because it made it easier for me to do it fast (before she killed me) and to adjust the tightness a couple of times during the week when it loosened up. The result will allow the cat to use the litter box with no trouble, mine never got it dirty while doing her business. The part near the tail does not interfere with, um, natural discharges from under the tail. Also loads of fur is directly accessible for grooming: the legs, arms, tail, and head. This keeps the little motor reflex killer quite happy even though she can only lick fabric everywhere else. So unlike with everything else I tried (including various types of cone-like devices), she didn't try to get out of it until she was fully recovered and no longer sore. Then she wiggled out of it (my bad, I knew it needed tightening), hid it somewhere in the house, and raced naked through my bedroom to celebrate. Many months later, I found the cat suit dumped on the stairs.
