I suppose it's bad enough if you're given a diagnosis of a terminal illness and an approximate timeline. If I was in that situation, I certainly would do whatever I could to get rid of the curse, no matter how scary. What a huge responsibility! Your hubby has very good taste in reading material. I thoroughly enjoyed 'The chain'. What an impossible situation to be put in. There certainly are some evil, twisted people out there.
