I just got my 150th Aniversary Sheraton. It's amazing.

Can I ask you something Sir! Does it get out of tune because of the tremotone? Or is it ok?

@@panospetrou8530 I haven't noticed any problems. I'd say it's more stable than a Bigsby that does not have the string thru part. I also installed locking tuners and a roller bridge so I think that helps a little bit.

I appreciate the celebration, and even hope to one day pick up one of these gorgeous gals, but how come there’s no anniversary acoustics? The whole legacy of the brand pre-Gibson was built on high quality acoustic guitars, basses, mandolins, banjos, lap steels, and more. I understand that electric guitar is more popular, but that’s only scratching the surface when it comes to the true history of the brand.

    That Sheraton sounds dirty!

Could the Sheraton also work for surf guitar? I'm looking for something that can do those spaghetti western kinds of sounds, but that can also do jazz and blues. Something twangy with lots of reverb.

      Absolutely it could!

nice demo, thanks. do you know why the 150 anniv. solid bodies - crestwood and wilshire have the bridge pickup turned opposite to usual with the polepieces toward the neck? I haven't seen this stock on any other guitars.

Hi there - I just asked the luthiers here and they said "Yup, that’s how they were orientated in the 60’s catalogue that inspired them" I hope that helps!

cool thanks. I wonder whose idea that was, and what they were trying to accomplish ... it does probably change the tone somewhat. in this case I think it would take some brightness out of the bridge pickup sound.
I do something like this myself on my les paul - I switch the neck pickup around so the polepieces are toward the bridge. I got the idea from Peter Green.

Just looked those up aaaaaaaand I'm not buying a guitar that costs starting out at 10 grand to 17 grand on reverb ever!!! And I don't see anyone ever buying those guitars for that much ever. @@AlexRGuitar

Nice guitars, but i prefer the symetrical reissues of the crestwood with the bikini headstock and logo.
