I have this little gem. This popcorn is so much better than microwave popcorn. I throw the flavacol in with the kernels and it works out really good too. Thank you for the review!
I haven't been brave enough to do that because of clean up or thought it might gum up the inner pot workings, thanks for letting me know it works!!
I have had a horrible time finding anyone who does this size machine. Most are larger. I just purchased one that is the size you have reviewed. My husband loves movie theatre popcorn. He was so happy to get this as a gift. Thank you for doing this video. I am not so intimidated about using our new one. LOL!😊
This and teenage memories working at the skating rink, makes me want a concession stand! 🤪. Imagine it. A dedicated bar with Popcorn, hot dog and nacho warmer, pretzel warmer, cotton candy, candy and caramel apples and a soda fountain. A deep fryer for yummy hot fries and corn dogs... oh, and I guess I should throw in a movie. 🤣

Right? It's relatively no fuss and people get all excited to see it! LOL!! I even have a tabletop claw machine. I just buy cheap toy refills on Amazon for it or little candy and the kids love to play with it!

I’ll be ordering one! But from working in the movie theater business, you should put the seasoning in when you put the kernels in so the oil spreads everything across all kernels.
That's the way I would do it, too, if I had an industrial machine I could clean easier than this. I totally agree. I just do what is recommended in the manual, and I have never really had to clean this. I know people put it all in at the beginning, like those packets one can pick up. Go for it! TYSM!

We have, too. I remember when I was a kid and microwaves came out...the whole popcorn craze came with it. That stuff is not very good for us and every time i eat it now...I don't like the feeling it leaves in my mouth. I don't know if it's the oil or whatever other chemical might be in there, it's off-putting. I can never pop in a pot very well. So, we do this!

It's a great thing to have. The kids love it and it really makes very good popcorn! This particular brand and size is sold out on HSN (pretty much everywhere), but they do have the larger sized ones and the Nostalgia copycats.
Well I had to stop and look for it at HSN no luck, they were all sold out . So I went to Amazon and bought one. I love popcorn, thank you so much for the heads up. I will get it on Saturday. YES. Thank you.

I was so excited when we got our until the clean up! I wish ours looked as brand new as yours does. Ours is similar, but on wheels. Everytime we use it the oil gets everywhere!

@@VianneyCreates Mix the flavacol into the oil before you add the popcorn into the kettle. That way it will be distributed across the whole batch.

I like the idea that I add my own salt/seasoning. We love popcorn in this house, but I hate the microwave popcorn, so salty. Like you said a couple of trip to movies would pay for this. Thanks Vianney.

oh ok what is flavcol salt ??? What the difference between salt and flavcol does it taste buttery ??
I find it best to mix the flavacol with the oil so you get a more even coating
Some people do it that way...kind of like the popcorn packets are done. I prefer to just keep it to oil on the kettle. TY for sharing your experience!

@@hsf8908 i'd say a little maybe a hint of butter. But you get more from the oil. I use Wabash valley farms oil. And I still add a little butter
hello Vianney, need some advice. I purchased the slimline die set from stamps of life not realizing the main die would not fit my big shot. I have no other machine and don't have the resources to get a gemini. can you offer up any suggestions. Thanks
I'm not familiar with their slimline sets. Is it a base card die or like a layering piece that you can't get through the machine?
You really need a larger die cutting machine. I have a Spellbinders one that I got for about $90.00 on line. Also I have seen people in videos on line using a rolling pin. I haven’t tried it but it looked like it works fine.
@@VianneyCreates it's the base card die plus pieces to embellish the card. I've been researching machines and the gemini is the best machine to get. the other one that can fit the die, (7 1/8) it's the spellbinders platinum.
@@HayleysComet3 yes, I've heard about the rolling pin thing. and I agree, I have to invest in a larger machine. guess I'll put this away for a while. unless you ladies want to cut card bases for me. I'll pay the shipping. lol
@@wandamariaaponte2538 probably your best bet is to just cut and score the bases by hand, and decorate with the included dies unless it has a fancy edge that you wanted. The card base is the easy part.
Does it make a lot of popcorn for gatherings or movie nights with friends?
You would be lucky to get maybe 6 cups of popcorn. I think it usually makes about four or five.

I'm sorry, I don't know what that means. I think the kettle in this little guy is referred to as 2.5 ounces. I have a video for a larger machine...I think it's a 10 ounce kettle and it makes tons of popcorn. I think I showed the salt, it's Flavacol or Flavocol, I forget the spelling.

You add the Falvor to the OIL... not after the popcorn is made. hahaa badass though. i am gonna buy one now.
You can do it that way, but the manual doesn't recommend it. It's funny...people ask why my machine is so clean, etc...it may be because I don't put the flavor in with the oil. Who knows...all I know, I've never really had to clean it. They are great little machines, this one is pretty old. I have since bought a 10 ounce kettle machine! So good. TY!!

Mine must not work right. It is not nearly as loud. The popcorn doesn’t fly out. It makes mostly old maids and it takes forever.

What about cleaning the bowl?
So...about that. Mine doesn't get really dirty or burned. I just wipe it out before the next use. Some people put the salt and oil in the little kettle...I find that is what makes it dirty and harder to clean. I only add oil and kernels and have had zero issues.

How to clean?????
Mine stays pretty clean, I just wipe it down with a paper towel after the popcorn is gone and everything has cooled. The kettle has no problems.
