I hate the new name of the airport, they should have left it as it was, which represents all the cultures of Mauritius, instead of putting an Indian name.
This is coming from someone whose parents are of Indian descent.
Bonsoir et merci pour cette vidéo relatant le vol retour. Au début, en entendant le gamin crier dans la salle d'attente, je me suis dit : " Bon courage pour le vol "... Heureusement, ce fût calme une fois à bord. MK propose un service de qualité (de mon point de vue) à bord d'appareils neufs et en apparence confortables… Le personnel de bord à l'air aussi sympathique et professionnel… Belle vidéo et +Like pour la qualité de vos vidéos :-)
Pourtant c'est l'une de mes plus mauvaises
Pas de vue du décollage , pas de vue de l'atterrissage , il faisait nuit de A a Z , donc mauvais qualité d'image dans le noir
Et une arrivée avec 40 min d'avance et un épais brouillard sont venu achever de tout gâcher à l'arrivée ...
Merci ,envie de partir en vacances ,dans mon île .❤

@Michael John Dennis Night flight from Paris with MK and AF are available.
MK used to fly from Manchester at one point but was not cost-effective.
Air France from Manchester to Paris (return)and onward to Mauritius, is a better option because MK and AF have a code-sharing agreement.
Passengers have the option of flying to Mauritius from Paris on MK and return to Paris on AF
from Mauritius. Or vice-versa.
Obviously, passengers have the option to stick with the one airline to cover the RETURN Paris-Mauritius journey.
The great advantage of flying with AF to connect to Paris from Manchester on the way to Mauritius is that you have the option of CHECK THROUGH LUGGAGE (CTL).
It won't matter whether you are flying with MK or AF from Paris to Mauritius.
CTL will apply from Mauritius to Manchester.
Very importantly, please do notify /confirm with, the check-in desk/s that you are requesting CTL.
The drawback when passenger flies say, from Manchester, say, to Mauritius via Paris or any transit airport is that he/she has to pay three airport taxes. Paris charges one of the most expensive airport taxes in the world.
Check with your travel agent or scan the internet for better fares.
The internet fares are not necessarily cheaper than the ones charged by Travel Agents.
Ditto for Travel and Medical insurance. Sometimes banks offer better deals on the latter.
Some banks, do provide free Travel and Medical Insurance, as part of a package, on some of their accounts.
Fares to Mauritius are usually slightly cheaper in places like Manchester compared to London.
Emirates is another option to fly to Mauritius from Manchester . Again CTL applies plus three airport taxes.
The other options are Manchester to Mauritius via Heathrow (MK) or Gatwick (BA).
In both cases, CTL applies with only two Airport Taxes.
MK operates its brand new AIRBUS A330neo, on the Heathrow to Mauritius route.
The AIRBUS A350-900 on its Paris to Mauritius route.
It is time that BA does consider operating the A380 to Mauritius from Gatwick.
