I am one of the lazy cork guys you mentioned but you got convinced to switch. You have not steered me wrong so far so I'm ordering some of these today. Thx Capt Charlie
that helps a lot thank you. i'm going try and find those. some of my best fish have been on popping cork . one my best was just pass the surf it took a while but my buddy it couldn't be done on the that close to surf . i landed 39" red fish on popping cork with 3" berkley gulp new penny shrimp. like i said it took a while but i got free dinner and beer and the bragging rights.
Great video. Like the adjustability of it. I even made up various length leaders with jig heads in advance to only have to tie to bottom of cork to save time on the water, but this really cuts the adjustment time down. Thanks for sharing. Will order a pack today. Tight lines everyone…..
Used these in vermillion bay today and limited out, the only other one catching was the kayaks trolling on bottom Wasn't sure they worked but when used properly it works great!
I hope that one is better than the bolt with the rod through it. I lost 3 bolt corks with the rod going through it. The hook on the bottom would break off and i would just reel in the rod. I lost expensive baits and the cork every time.

I’ve been a fan of versamaxx corks for sometime now. But the bolt series I’ve used from them, the plastic hook that you wrap around on the bottom definitely has a tendency to break. But I kinda like the idea of the hybrid cork. I’ll have to give them a try

Let me know how they work for you!

It really saves time and comes in handy when we have customers on the boat. Let me know how it goes!

Yep! Love these
Awesome video. Very informative. Thanks Capt Charlie.
Thank you!
Definitely been looking for a cork with adjustable depth. Will give them a try.
They’re the best!

I would love to see a fish video with that popping cork , I do a lot fishing in the Neuse River NC
Couldn’t bobber stops be used instead of wrapping and potentially kinking the mono?
It actually won’t on braid or mono but fluorocarbon will kink and lose its integrity! I use 30lb mono everyday and have no issues

Look up the SNL cork soakers epidemic 😂. Awesome video capt
Captain Charlie, what u think about versamax bolt?
I enjoy it and use it often! I mention it in a few other videos as well.
So your sayibg to keep the bait on the bottom and not have it dangling in the current under the rest peroid
I have to see to believe
Is that a relatively new design because that cork seems out of stock everywhere I have never seen them

Is the setup the same if you are using braid with a fluorocarbon leader?
yes but I rather use mono because floro sometimes loses its integrity when it gets any bends in it.
CAN YOU DO A VIDEO ON TERMINAL TACKLE CAPT?
I can without a doubt. For live bait or artificial? If you look at my videos you will see I've done a few about this exact topic.
Can you make the cork stand up or does it have to lay down?
Laying down gives best results, but it also works standing up
That’s what she said
@@CaptCharlieThomason If only she could adjust how long it is when standing!!!!
