I can't choose, I love 'em both!! Maybe I'd go with the painted model for realism. Ben, you're a lucky man, I really enjoy your enthusiasm when it comes to model railroading. Please keep up the good work!!
Hey Ben! I prefer the black engine on the layout, and I like your idea of the brass engine in a display case. I like your layout, but I have never seen a video of how you built it. Also a tour of your train shelves would be interesting.
Fantastic unboxing! Thanks Ben! Steam engines are our fav and your explanation of how the Hybrid is made and all the detail that goes into it was spot-on. We can't wait to deal with Berkshire station too. Turn up the sound and enjoy this video everyone!
I remember when I was a kid, there was a huge hobby shop in my town called orange blossom hobbies. They always had a display case of these brass engines. It always caught my eye. They are definitely an awesome display/ conversation starter.
Ben, Love your enthusiasm! Love the locomotive. Love the tee shirt! (Joe cool loves the locomotive as well! 😊) P.S. - first generation Challenger. P.P.S. - I love both. I might I add, Congratulations on getting both! Enjoy them.
Ben, I just found your channel. I love it reminds me of myself sneaking the huge boxes inside to my attic 3 rail train room! Awesome stuff 👍. Your channel is a great find ! George
Very cool Ben, incredible locomotives. I prefer the black version but the brass one Is incredible looking. If I could I would have both. Good luck with them.
Love your excitement and got me excited too. Great presentation. Like to know how you keep the unpainted brass clean, since I am thinking of purchasing one after viewing your video. Looking forward to your response.
wow Ben! Two beautiful behemoth locomotives! I like the black one the best. Really enjoy your enthusiasm too. Have to ask though, do you live on a game preserve? There were deer marching back and forth in your yard through the whole video! Pretty cool!
Great video, Ben. Could you please provide us with the contact information in the long description for the new dealer you referenced in the video? Thanks for sharing.
Ben, beware of the 2 screws that hold the pilot assembly to the front of the train. they are tiny and mine came loose and fell out and now a super expensive engine is damaged. just a heads up.
Ben, Is the brass version 'cleared' so it won't tarnish???? Both are 'smokin;",,'..... I may need one of each...def the brass one for the christmas floor layout!!!
WOW! The brass version looks like it's gold plated. Definitely the better looking of the two. However, if you're going to actually use them instead of display only, I would think the brass would start to tarnish and show finger prints. Holy CRAP! Just looked at the price. For $2500.00 it better look good.
I guess I'ma have to buy my a new Lionel engine! I'm a N scaler n I don't smell anything when i open a new engine!😊 i got a new one coming I'll sniff it to be sure.😊 But I did buy the Polar Express brand spanking new, but I don't remember how it smelled. 🤔😏
Love the video and unboxing. How do I become your best friend? Actually I'm an N-Scaler - with some HO, O, and No. 1 gauge - you know how it is. Cheers.
Really enjoy your unboxing videos- you let passion fly and get right to the fun stuff. ‘Hope to own a hybrid brass showpiece one day so thumbs up for both!
Nice! The steam trains have the best look. :) If I'm going to have one to set on a shelf and look pretty, the brass one, definitely. I have a couple of slot cars on my shelf that I've never unboxed because they're too pretty to get dinged up racing. :)
@Ben's Trains - which metal is "better" between BRASS, & Die Cast Metal, when it comes to DETAIL & DURABILITY [Rust Resistance]? When cared for equally of course.
The deer was enjoying the unboxing too!
Always enjoy your videos Ben, light, fun and entertaining brother.
Brass has class 😁
Great Locomotive, and great excitement. Also watching the deer in your back yard.
wow, I have never been that excited about anything I have bought......I wish I could be that happy!!!!!
I can't choose, I love 'em both!! Maybe I'd go with the painted model for realism. Ben, you're a lucky man, I really enjoy your enthusiasm when it comes to model railroading. Please keep up the good work!!

Great loco Ben! Unpainted brass is amazing! Good job!
I like that tender, the later models, have the centipede tenders, you got two. Thanks for showing us both versions of this model.
I remember when I was a kid, there was a huge hobby shop in my town called orange blossom hobbies. They always had a display case of these brass engines. It always caught my eye. They are definitely an awesome display/ conversation starter.
Krantz Hobbies in Massillon, Ohio and Schrock's in Canton....both long gone.....
It's always great watching your videos, very inspirational.
I appreciate that!
That stereo sound really makes a difference.
Ben, the brass one is beautiful. However, I like the black one best. They are both very impressive.
For me it's the painted model though the brass one is just plain beautiful and worthy of its own trophy case.
Always a good day when trains are afoot
They're both a couple of beauties. Wow !
Let's see the unpainted version run....your films are always a treat to view. Thanks Ben

Oh Ben. Better than Christmas morning. Challenger is my favorite steam engine. Have fun with it. You are still a kid at heart.😊
Lots of Hobby Shops and Train Stores are closing so it's great to hear of one opening . Thank you for your videos .
They're both beautiful but the black one is best.
Wife and I are watching your video together and she said "gorgeous" just a couple seconds before you said the same thing.
LOLOL
Just found you. Looks like the pool table is in the way or a possible railroad! Good stuff. Thanks. I do like how you built along the wall.
Ben, I just found your channel. I love it reminds me of myself sneaking the huge boxes inside to my attic 3 rail train room!

Atlanta is a heavily wooded area, so there are deer everywhere!
WOW THATS A MONSTER. glad I do HO
I like the black one better
You're the man dude!
Great video, Ben. Could you please provide us with the contact information in the long description for the new dealer you referenced in the video? Thanks for sharing.

@Ben's Trains - Hey BEN! There was a DEER 🦌 walking in the background through the window 🪟 👍🏼 😆 🤣 😂
Ben, beware of the 2 screws that hold the pilot assembly to the front of the train. they are tiny and mine came loose and fell out and now a super expensive engine is damaged. just a heads up.
