Yes I know! Our house is starting to get pretty filled with “pretty things to look at” 😉 but they bring their touch to the overall experience of feeling at home and having a beautiful space to live in!
I love fine bone China dinnerware. I’m not a earthenware person. So as the earthenware is very much in keeping with the simple French country style you love and use everywhere, I would love my coffee or tea in a China mug. I keep a whole mug tree of China mugs on my counter.😊
great finds. My favorite item you bought is the large deep bowl that would make a great bird bath with a solar fountain in it. I put one of those solar fountains you find on Amazon in mine and it looks and works fantastic (Just have to keep filling up the water like any bird bath.) Some of the birds shower under it. So cute to watch. I think the solar fountain cost me around twenty five dollars and it works great on sunny days and floats on the water. I saw a few things I liked on your treasure hunt. There was this little brown jug with glazed dark blue flowers on it. I think you picked it up to look at. I thought it would make a lovely vase with dried twigs, flowers or a bunch of wheat from the fields cut short. I always love going on your treasure hunts. You found some beautiful items. My weakness is hand woven baskets. I roll up my white guest hand towels and place them in it, then set it on the counter or table in their bathroom.
I love going on your Brocante trips. I’m at the age where I don’t buy any more and need to start getting rid of things. But boy do I miss the hunt! Especially in France. So much fun.
Amazing that all of these beautiful pieces are at thrift stores in France! My favorite is the largest basin. Perhaps part of a picher and bowl set, origionally.
I love all your haul, especially the two bowls. The grey salt glaze is gorgeous too. I think I would have also bought the bottle basket earlier in the video….and to be truthful, a lot of other things as well. I definitely buy things I love that are “too good to leave” as you do.
I loved that berry bowl you picked up and filmed, especially since it had the little feet on it. I would have purchased it. I always say I could buy loads of things in a place like this. The large basin you got is my favorite - I would put face cloths or hand towels in it for a washroom. It's amazing! I am actually shocked no one wanted it! It would actually fit perfectly in my home for it's colour and my style.
Just found your channel! Love it, the two Longchamps bowls are wonderful. Stephanie Jarvis and Philip from The Chateau Diaries, often go to Emmaus, need to visit on my next trip to France. Thank you for creating an interesting channel, will binge watch you older Videos to catch up. ❤️🇫🇷❤️🇺🇸❤️
I equally love all the pieces you bought. I like your idea of using the wash basin outdoors for a bird bath or something. I also liked the sewing machine and the little port glass you picked up but would have passed on them too.
So happy to have found your channel! I love the small crock that you purchased. Simple and well made design. I am interested in viewing more of your videos to find out where you are from originally and possibly see your decorated home. I live in Indiana in the U.S. and I have never been to France, but I love the country style. ❤
I love it all. I would have purchased the white cheese whey drainer collandar that you picked up and held. I love all things white and it was very pretty.
I like the washbowl, and the other one looks like a wonderful fruit bowl. The pitcher is surprisingly usable, not crazed. The style is beautiful. Salt glazed pieces like the crock are hard to find without damage. The marks make it extra gorgeous. The large plate is the best. It is beautiful and useful. I, too, love the green design. Thank you for sharing.
I just love the Crock you got! The imprinting is so cool. I have 3 mustard pots that I just love. I have a darker one that I put my sink scrubber brush and bottle brushes in. So hard to score cool french country items here in the states.
I love it all, but especially the biggest bowl. It would be great for putting a large salad on the table or you could even drill a hole in the bottom and use it as a sink basin in bathroom renovation.
really good findings, all are just gorgeous pieces! love your style, your cottage is so beautiful and cosy! i saw a wonderful pitcher in your video, grey with some blue stripes. and i adore tureens. they are so practical in every sense: you can use for pies, for soup, for hot vegetables, for pancakes and quick pickles are good to make in tureen.
Oh my. What beautiful treasures. I love the crock and smaller bowl best. At one point in the video you picked up a white perhaps ironstone pedestal bowl. I was telling you to get it, but you did not hear. Lol. Hello from Ohio!
I do love the Denise bowl. I’m partial to sunflowers so it’s a good find. I’m glad I came across you your channel and look forward to watching more of your life. I have a wish to go to France and travel the country just to breathe in the life style and shop the thrift stores. One day…
Everything you got was nice, but my favorite is the little stoneware pitcher. Such a graceful and classic shape. I’d fill it with a handful of little French (or USA!) flags for a colorful display. Also, there were two paintings on the end of the row of framed art you showed near the beginning of the video. I saw a set of two sepia-toned landscapes with matching frames. Very moody. I’d have looked twice at them! Lovely day.
Thanks for taking us on another triftshop adventure. Love your Emmaus. Treasure hunting in thriftshops or fleamartkets is my hobby as well. De grey-ish pot i love the most. Want them for my kitschen. Love the rustic style of it.
Great buys! I liked the shapes especially of the pottery jar with the markings. Your idea for the large bowl with a rock in it for watering the birds is brilliant. I'm going to try that myself as I'm in a condo that does not allow bird feeders but this would work perfectly to attract our little friends.
I enjoy your shopping videos so much! The little pitcher was my favorite of your purchases. I have a tiny pitcher that looks like that and holds just enough milk for two cups of coffee or tea.
Love all the things, favourite is your favourite. I just love all those crock ware. I was hoping you got the tea pot with the handle on the side, near the beginning. It looked like stoneware.
You could put a big pitcher in that big bowl and make a bowl and pitcher set and put it on a table.🌸 I love the bowls and that beige stoneware crock and always pitchers.
Very nice haul Marloes, funtional and beautiful! For me, I loved the four weights at 14:06. As always, fun to tag along with you on the treasure hunts to Emmaus! A bientot!
I am binge-watching your channel while recovering from a mystery ‘bug’ - love your channel! We have recently moved into our new house in the countryside in Tasmania … I am enjoying it so much 😊😊
I think you are just lovely!!! I live in Ohio, USA. I think that huge bowl is a 10/10! I am coming to Paris in March 9 to purchase some items for myself! I do love sharing your life with you!!
I liked a lot of things I saw while you were walking around but I saw a lovely small pottery jug with blue strips around the top I’d have bought that and a few of the pottery jugs ,I’m obsessed with jugs 😂🤣loved the large bowl you got great idea for a bird bath 😊
You clearly went shopping for me! I was channeling you as you picked these items up... yes! yes! yes! I love all of these, but most especially the ironstone pitcher... what a great shopping day!
Aaaaaah, you picked up and put down two plates that I have the matching gravy boat. Hope to find part of that set again on our next trip to France. Loved all your finds.
Wat is dat leuk shoppen! Ik had die grote schaal met de "sunflowers"ook meegenomen! Prachtig zomers met een schaal vol gedroogde hortensia's of eigen oogst uit de tuinkas! Prachtig geshopt, leuk idee! Bedankt voor de leuke video.
I loved the white porcelain colander, maybe for washing berries? Perhaps more pretty than practical but nevertheless it gave me joy. I do also like the large bowl with the blue transfer that you bought, its an attractive, unusual shape.
Love a good trip to Emmaus!!! I love the big bowl (sans pitcher) and all your other pieces as well. Adore transferware and simple white porcelain items! This just proves that we can NEVER go shopping together as there would be tension!!! Just kidding! I also adore all the wonderful cotton and linen sheets that one can find at Emmaus and hauled abotu 11 of them home on my last trip!!! Any trip to the thrift store tends to be a surprise! Great shopping day!
I love the earthenware items ...I was hoping you would pick up the earthenware pedestal cake plate,,,I think that was so cute,,,,,never saw one like it,,,what fun , thanks for dragging us along Cherryl from Canada
The ceramic sel wall box, the colander, any ironstone, the tin box with the cranes on it for sure!!, The sewing machine was gorgeous. would have bought that too....I love everything you picked too!!! I found a few Emmaus when we visited France but none as nice as this one!!! Maybe on my next trip I will find it!! Cheers from Canada
Whatever I need I look forst at Emmaus. I often buy bedding and large poster frames to cut down the glass for smaller old frames that I also binge buy there. They have great clothes and furniture and I have quite a few pieces like my antique Marocain table, a carved folding screen, a bedside table to match a huge wardrobe from a Troc and some chairs. My beautiful circular kitchen table on oak with foId out leaves that seats 6 people was 20 euros. t's also a great place to give extra stuff to.
I'm so glad you kept that first piece- looks like salt-glaze but I couldn't quite tell the true color. Salt Glazing pottery began in Germany around 1400. It spread across Europe & was brought to the US in the 1600's. In the USA it was found everywhere from mid 17th to 19th centurys. I saw a lot of Longchamp vintage. People here pay a good price for it here, so if you do decide to pass anything along (sell it) I hope you sell on Etsy. Usually crazed, cracked, chipped or any piece that is scratched into the design doesn't sell well here. Anyway I loved everything you bought. The green decorated big bowl is lovely! I can only find other pieces to match your green that are blue decoration! I don't know why unless there weren't very many made in green. I saw a tray(?) standing on end that looked like a town scene was etched on. The church steeple was seen plainly but the rest hidden. That's something that would be interesting to see! 💖
Beautiful haul🙌❤️ I like the biggest "bowl" the most, because of the pretty pattern with sunflowers at the rim. In the brocante shop I would have snatched that tin box with the cranes😁😍
I love your aesthetic, Marloes! Everything you find has such a simple, understated elegance. Although I love the slanted bowl, the pitcher is something almost identical to one we have and use everyday at meal time for water. Looking at all the really old beautiful pieces you can find on your thrifting expeditions is so fun because we really dont have much like that here in Canada. Too young of a country, I guess. Lots of vintage though. Greetings! Its warmed up somewhat here. 😃👋🇨🇦
Your thrift shops are so organized and neatly laid out. In ours, you have to enjoy digging and shifting things around. I think we are a bit more determined when we shop.
Ours was like that before which I actually really liked. I like discovering little treasures under piles or in boxes. Since a year or so they keep everything really organized which is nice in a way but I really liked how it was before as well.
Enjoyed shopping with you! The choices you made are so lovely! I like large bowls to make cookie dough or pumpkin bread in on holidays. And everything could be used for a lot of things. So interesting! Janice from Arkansas USA
I’m new subscriber and i visit Paris that’s why they bring me in you’re channel coz I love France and I just have short trip to see Eiffel tower and so excited to see the country of France . Love all stuff you buy and love the color you pick to the biggest bowl I’m gonna put all the different kind of fruits or do a sink in the bathroom kinda huge and unique
I love the biggest bowl. Sometimes getting things to appreciate their aesthetic beauty rather than their practical function is the way to go.
Yes I know! Our house is starting to get pretty filled with “pretty things to look at” 😉 but they bring their touch to the overall experience of feeling at home and having a beautiful space to live in!

I picture you beautiful larger bowl filled with spring flower bulbs and green moss outside on your big table.
This is a wonderful idea. I can just picture it on the outdoor table too. A huge salad to share at a gathering would work too. Many uses. Great finds
The “can’t get rid of it” large bowl. ❤
I especially love the “Denise” bowl. I see that on your long table in the garden just sitting there being perfectly beautiful! We buy what we love. 😁
Amazing that all of these beautiful pieces are at thrift stores in France! My favorite is the largest basin. Perhaps part of a picher and bowl set, origionally.
yes I think it may have been a set!
Beautiful! I would buy them all too.
Oh my favourite would be that fruit bowl, the longchamp ! ❤

Love your style and choices, great shop...Liz
The large green border bowl would be lovely filled with summer pot plants, Lv your video x
Great finds Marloes 😊 I’m starting to spot things that I think you’d like before you pick them up, getting to know your style 😆 💕
Love that!
Too many interesting stuffs. I love it. Beautiful countryside ❤️🌷. The most that I like from your picked is the utensil jar .
I actually loved the "bird bath" bowl 😊
I equally love all the pieces you bought. I like your idea of using the wash basin outdoors for a bird bath or something. I also liked the sewing machine and the little port glass you picked up but would have passed on them too.
Love the crocks and yes the large basin bowl. Lovely.
So happy to have found your channel! I love the small crock that you purchased. Simple and well made design. I love everything, especially the large bowl.
They are all my favorite! Such a difference from the United States. Much more elegant. So glad you did this video.
The big bowl is gorgeous!❤
I love it all. I would have purchased the white cheese whey drainer collandar that you picked up and held. I love all things white and it was very pretty.

3:20 lots of cute bowls with lids designed for a spoon 🥄 Very cute shop! Thank-You for sharing!
Love all of them and your country French style!
really good findings, all are just gorgeous pieces! love your style, your cottage is so beautiful and cosy! i saw a wonderful pitcher in your video, grey with some blue stripes. and i adore tureens. they are so practical in every sense: you can use for pies, for soup, for hot vegetables, for pancakes and quick pickles are good to make in tureen.

Love them all. The big bowl can hold pasta for when you have guests. Or a lot of salad for guest as well 😅 you have a good eye.
Love all the things, favourite is your favourite. I just love all those crock ware. I was hoping you got the tea pot with the handle on the side, near the beginning. It looked like stoneware.

My favorite is the large bowl with the green flower pattern around the top. First time viewer here. I just subscribed. I like the way you filmed this.
Welcome to the channel!
Love all but I have several crocks. I put kitchen utensils in mine. Great find!
The huge bowl of course because my name is Denise. My mother bought a pitcher and bowl set many years ago just for decoration. I love yours.
I enjoy your trips to the brocante! I like the plate. A nice salad would be lovely on it. I like the pitcher too. Useful for so many things!

I love the big bowls ,place to put fruit
I love it all, but if I had to pick a favorite, I would pick the bowl with the blue design you are going to use to place fruit in.
