You are a treasure to have on book tube, your book recommendations are refreshing and not the same overhyped books that everyone else talks about.
Aww, thank you so much! That's so lovely to hear 😊
I’m subscribed as soon as I read this comment, ❤
@@TheYellowBusLifeReset aww, thank you so much!
Your book synopses are some of the best on booktube 😊. I want to read them all! Great video.
Thank you so much! I look forward to hearing your thoughts on them 😊
"We spend the whole summer with our blinds closed in the lounge" immediately stop what I am doing to subscribe ... my kind of person ( I thought I was the only one 😂)
@@Vintageshabbychi 🤣 we even hang a blanket over the front door cos that let's too much light in sometimes 😅
💕😀xx ABSOLUTELY brilliant list. Thanks So much Mercedes. Very much appreciated as always. Lots of love. Here’s to a great autumn of reading. 🥰
Thank you for such a lovely comment :) I'm so glad you enjoyed the video!
You and Johnny need to move to N.Ireland/Donegal. All “summer” it was between 11-16 degrees. Rained constantly. Warmest day? 20 degrees , with rain.
That sounds like heaven 😅
I’m sold!! 🍂🧡🍁🌧️
See ya Donegal😅 hugs from a redhead
Yesss!! Bring on the fall 💪🍁💪
Very nice list. Thank you. I find that especially as autumn is turning toward winter I get deep into a re-reading mood. I want the comfort of old friends, old favorites. I do love the couch against the black walls.
The comfort of old friends is the perfect way to put it 🧡
OMG!! The moment I saw that couch and black wall I knew I was in for a treat!! You did not disappoint (as if!)! What a fabulous list…I think autumn needs to start in August to have enough time to read all those gems!! I’ve just reserved White Ivy and own Road to Dalton! Best autumn booktube video ever!! Thank you!!!!!! 🍂🧡🍁
Hahahah, it is a very autumnal room! Yay! I'd love to hear your thoughts on them once you've read them. Aww, I'm so glad you enjoyed the video so much xxx
Dreamer's Pool has been on my physical TBR for a while, so I think this is my sign it's time to pick it up!
I live in southern USA. The sun tries to kill you all spring, summer and most of fall. How I wish I could live in a cooler climate but I’d have to leave all my friends and family behind!
That must be so hard! I keep being tempted to move somewhere even cooler and hillier (it's very flat where I live) but I wouldn't want to be so far from family.
So enjoyed this video so many of books I want to read thank you x
So many amazing books in this video, thank you. I have read some of them and especially loved Night Waking by Sarah Moss and Amy and Lan by Sadie Jones. The rest are now on my TBR and cannot wait to get to them📚
Ohhh, you have some great ones to look forward to :)
Affinity is my all-time favourite book. I read The Damages recently based on your recommendation and really enjoyed it. I really want to read Pet, it sounds like my kind of book. I'm so excited for autumnal reading 😊
I always remembered it as one of my least fav Sarah Water books which is still a great book!) so it will be interesting to see how I feel on a reread. I think you'll really enjoy Pet!
All her books are great. If you haven't read the rest, you might like them. When she held up the book, I saw Sarah Water and was excited for a minute that she put out a new book but then I realized she just had a different color cover than mine.🤭 I have all six books, they're all black covers.
@@munajedski I love all of Sarah Waters books, I'm waiting impatiently for the next one!
Here in Cape Town we are going towards Spring, but you sold me on all the books you presented and put me in a cosy autumn mood🍂🍁!
I hope you're having a lovely spring 🌻
@@MercysBookishMusings Thank you😊!
A great selection. I absolutely love The Road to Dalton and am very excited for the sequel which is coming out this month.
I'm so excited for it!!!!!!!
First 🎉
Love the bookish content and the recent ones have been so good, added several books to my reading list 😊
Thank you! That's lovely to hear 😊 I look forward to hearing your thoughts on the ones you read
I really enjoy your videos and reviews. They are the best. Thanks.
I appreciate that!
The damages and Amy & Lan are on my list 📖🍁🍂
I picked up Ohio by Stephen Markley per your recommendation in a previous video, I’m looking forward to reading it and reading some others in this video! I love your takes and respect your opinion and taste!
Ohhh, I'd love to hear your thoughts on Ohio and whichever other ones you get to. Thank you so much. That's really kind :)
Film rec for you if you haven't seen it is The Outrun with Saoirse Ronan! I saw it at the New Zealand International Film Fest and its Saoirse playing a young woman recently out of rehab for alcoholism and she goes home to the Orkney Islands. I think you'd really like it! Fits with the vibes you like in books 😊
Ohhh, I think that must be based on a memoir by Amy Liptrott? I've read the book but I didn't realise it had been made into a film. Thanks for the recommendation! I'll definitely watch it ASAP 👍
@MercysBookishMusings Yes it is! I haven't read the book so can't speak to whether it's a good adaptation but loved the film!
Where can you watch the film ?
Great video, I agree with what was said before, you’re one of the best booktubers out there, your reviews are excellent! I loved The House of Broken Bricks and October, October, it’s worth having that on your bookshelf for the cover alone. I’ve added Amy and Lan to my list😊
I live in Suffolk, is it still your stomping ground?
Aww, thank you so much! I'm so glad to hear that you enjoyed them too.
No but I'm very close! I've lived in Norwich for about 10 years now. Where are you based in Suffolk? I grew up in Lowestoft.

Thanks for all the recs! A few if these I've read but lots more that I haven't. Lots of them sound like great autumn reads 😊 have you got any books in particular planned for your autumn reading?
Literally finished Come and Get It just before turning on this video and I loved it! I’m so glad I gave Reid another chance because I wasn’t impressed with Such a Fun Age.
Yaya! I'm so glad to hear that because I've heard so many people say they didn't enjoy it and I think it's so good!
❤😊 Thank you
I gave Ghost Wall 5* and yet I've not read her other books. I really need to rectify that. I have Summerwater and Names for the Sea.
Summer water is brilliant 🙏 and despite being set on a summer day it rains for most of the novel
Ohhh, you're in for such a treat with all her books!
I initially thought oh, English Animals wasn't included. I would suggest Study for Obedience by Sarah Bernstein.
just checked - you mentioned English Animals in your former vlog. Apologies :)
I was tempted to include it again, haha
The earth is doing spring on this side of the world lol
I hope you're having a lovely spring 🌻
Creeping malevolence...wow
