I am so jealous of the air threader!!
Also the threading order of the 4 threads is different for every machine and on a lot of machines you have to follow a certain order. I was lucky enough to have a nice lady at the quilt shop explain it me when I thought I broke my machine. (Mine is that super cheap Brother you see on Amazon and it's order is 4-3-1-2 because lmao why not).

I love all the wigs you use for these videos! I've never known how sergers work so I'm glad you made this!

I was just having trouble with my serger tonight and watching your machine just magically thread itself made my jaw drop!!!! I had no idea such sorcery existed!

This video was super useful! When I first started doing cosplay competitions, I knew I needed to have cleaner seams, but I didn't understand how. I was told that you have to have a serger to have clean seams, so I bought one and then proceeded to use it wrong and STILL had sloppy seams 🤦‍♀️ Thankfully now I know that there's more to having a high quality cosplay than just spending more money

I had some bad experiences with older sergers in a sewing class at a local community college, so I've never wanted one...until now lol. Someday I'll have more space and maybe I'll get one with fancy threading like this :o
Also lol at the cosplay competition judging. Is serging the new french seam? I'll never forget a cosplay acquaintance ranting about a judge who was apparently chosen for something other than sewing knowledge, because she was asked why she didn't french seam her *knit* dress and lost points (or however cosplay judging works) for it

I have a serger, and I actually prefer French seams when I make commissions over the overlock edge. The French seam is less likely to get caught on things in the washing machine since the seams are extra tight and more hidden, and it also seems to be more durable when beginner cosplayers are a bit more rough when their outfits. The serger makes everything SO MUCH FASTER though!!

@@heirofclouds8498 oh i prefer french seams for certain things, that part of my comment was about cosplay judges who don't know much about sewing expecting everything to be serged or french seamed because they've heard those words but dont know when or why you'd use those techniques. My friend's knit fabric wasnt going to fray at all, didnt have the inside exposed anywhere, but one judge asked why she didnt use french seams 🤦‍♀️

Where can I buy this? I can't find it anywhere, from my understanding you can't order it online and has to be in store. Using the official site it won't bring up anywhere I can buy it at. I understand you don't sell it, just wondering if you had insight on how you were able to find one ♡

Usually you need to find a local Viking dealer who stocks their machines - this is usually small sewing stores, or sometimes Joann Fabrics carries this brand. If their store locator is working, the Viking site should show stores near you, or if that doesn't work, try searching on google or yelp for a Husqvarna dealer in your area/state.
