The new one is not even that bad I am BMW Fanboy but that's what I hate about the BMW community that always the new series is hated to death until a newer generation comes and then the people like it

About the sound part, a friend has pre-LCI USA spec in Europe and it sounds like a beast. No filters, nothing just pure glorious v8 and cracks and bangs. You can literally feel the vibrations of the sound when downshifting.
As an M5 comp owner, I really yearn for that M5CS - the bonnet, the seats and the lights look gorgeous. It’s a shame though that all of these features were reserved for the CS, when BMW offer so little difference between M5 and M5 Comp. Consider too that the LCI came out relatively quickly, which overall short-changes the early adopters. Puts me off buying a BMW M in the first 2-3 years of the life cycle.

It is what it is but given BMW have ironed out some kinks by then, the first gen M cars can seem a little outdated. Great to have the new car kudos but it doesn’t last long. Even less so when a competition comes out less than 12 months after launch.
The seats look amazing, but the regular M5 seats are far more comfortable for a daily, and they already look really good. Bucket seats are overrated. I would never switch out my regular M5 seats for CS seats. Getting yellow DRLs is a easy fix, and i've already seen several F90 LCI owners put CS bonnets and diffusers on their cars. You could basically easily get the exterior look of the CS with a few simple mods. Also, 360 camera and B&W sound system are some of the options that are not available for the CS at all. It was mainly made to be a track car.

I myself got an F82 M4, I enjoyed my E90 330i and my friends E46 330i a lot and the F82 is very similar in the characteristics of them. The F82 is more like an E90 than it is to an F32.

Would you guys ever take the M5CS to the dyno? We all know the M5C makes almost 700hp compared to 625hp that BMW advertises but since BMW said the M5CS has 635hp would you ask the owner of the car to let you do a dyno run to see how much the car actually makes compared to the M5C?

Funny enough the last 2 C63s I’ve seen is the drivers both had hats on backwards and an empty car and the last M5 I saw had a family in it. It’s rare to see M5’s in Western Australia. I saw that one about 4 or 5 months ago
I think the comp is more practical because of the 5th seat. Also..... those cs seats look awfully painful; are they comfortable if you daily drive them? Ps i dont think the cs is worth the money bmw is asking them... cuz you could get your regular tune for cheaper by a reliable company and still have more hp? Right?
I agree it is over-priced but they are holding their value way better than the regular M5s so likely make a better investment if you can afford it. Whereas a tuned car is going to tank in value comparatively. Also I think the performance enhancements are in weight and engineering rather than power and torque output. Personally I would choose the M5CS if both cost were no object and it wasn’t for daily use (which my M5 is).

Even Chris Harris said so. Everyone here who says so it's too fat is only regurgitating what the first person said, don't like that weight figure becaue it reminds them of themselves, and don't like "the way it moves" because it reminds them of how their moms. The only gripe I have with it apart from the sound, or rather lack of it, is that it looks like a Mercedes from the back.

Came here after watching the New M5 😒😒😒.. That's more heavy with an electric motor.... design is complicated to understand, Not everyone is going to love it. i only loved the rims and nothing else. The front grill is suffocating. I really loved these old models. I hope if BMW would do something for their new generations ( except minimizing the grill 😂😂).

I own a 2023 M5 comp and spec’d full M performance Titanium exhaust from the factory. It sounds insane. I can’t imagine needing more volume.

The M5 Competition LCI made 651hp on the dyno and the CS around 690hp+
