Pop sounds like a proud "Dad" speaking about Tim Duncan, this is who Steve Kerr learned from and this is why Kerr is so extra special to Golden State. Pop is human and Kerr is human and that's what sets them apart from simply earning paycheck. They're both special human beings in professional sports and it shows!

You don't hear people who worked with them speak of them in these terms. It doesn't mean that they were "bad". It's just nice to hear these kinds of qualities that far transcend the basketball court being rightly lauded.
