      @@debraonthego3960 I made a video of it roughly 6 years ago I think. We actually flew in on a helicopter and hiked out. Was a cool experience.

      @@HarlanFox--Scrambles we saw a helicopter out there when we got to the lake. We contemplated booking a flight once we hiked out but sadly we didn’t. It would have been really cool to see it from the air too!!

    Random question...what are you using to film? Gopro or an actual camera? Just wondering because I have a gopro and wonder how many batteries are needed for a day? Recharging at night of course.

      I use the DJI Osmo Pocket. And I absolutely love it! My only complaint is that it doesn’t zoom ☹️. But it has a little screen so I can see what I’m filming. And it switches between regular and selfie mode effortlessly, which I also love since I am trying to do my videos “vlog” style.
      The battery life is pretty descent. I can usually get a full day of filming on one charge. But it also recharges super fast, even when in use so that’s a bonus as well.
      I highly recommend looking into the Osmo if your on the market for a camera!!

    "I don't know if this camera is picking up how beautiful this mountain is."
    It is indeed quite beautiful but I know from experience, doesn't matter how much money you invest in a camera... you will never get one that can capture the true beauty that comes from personal experience.
    Cameras will be a long time before they can capture the detail of our eyes, and never the smells and feeling of freedom.

    How many hours did it take you to hike to the lake?

    • @debraonthego3960
      @debraonthego3960  3 роки тому +1

      Well we did break it over 2 days, but hours wise… I’d say around 12ish? The first 8k went fast, but day 2 (from km8 to the lake) seemed to take forever. Lol!

    Is this a loop, out & back, or straight trail? How many kms total?

    • @debraonthego3960
      @debraonthego3960  3 роки тому +1

      It’s an out & back trail. It’s about 23kms one way. But there is also a trail to Landslide lake about half way that adds an additional 12kms or so, which is what we did. So we ended up doing about 56-58kms in total.
