In the following days there were many videos of underwater divers checking inside the ferry and many bodies floated around them. I'm sad to hear there's still no answers for such a tragic day.
Thank you for making this video. I was very moved by the history visible in the landscape of the city. I hope these events are never truly forgotten and that truth and accountability can come soon.

광주는 한번도 안가봤는데 한번 꼭 가봐야겠어요. 매일 오후 5:18 에 울리는 종소리와 님을 위한 행진곡 멜로디에 가슴이 뭉클하네요. 제가 내일 새벽에 일어나야 해서 육전에 파절이 드시는 부분 까지만 보고 눕습니다. ^^ 남은 부분은 곧 꼭 볼게요. Na 님 영상 덕분에 다음 주의 5월18일은 평소와 다를 것 같고 더 마음 깊이 새겨야겠어요. 아직 앞 부분만 봤지만 울림을 주시는 영상 넘 감사합니다! 손가락도 얼른 나으세요~

This one was deep, sad, and beautiful all at once and did not seem long at all. It was interesting learning about May 18 (my birthday) and I watched it about 2 hours before midnight May 18. I, too, cried. It made me remember the days I was young and protesting the Viet Nam Conflict. Many students were shot by soldiers, too. I guess all soldiers are allowed to shoot protesters. But the USA has moved on and mainly forgotten. It was not even a war and boys 18 and over were drafted and died. The government tried to bury it but we kept on. Finally, it was declared a War in the 1990s so the veterans could get medical help. So many men my age live here with PTSD and war injuries because they could not afford the medical costs until they were accepted as veterans, finally. The rest was calming. I loved the blue water and the white bowls, I could sit there for ages, too. The food looked so good. And, of course, you found a bird and a cat! Thank you for this gift.
It's been too long since I posted a video, so my UA-cam alarm is broken. 😅 Some government sometimes seems to treat its people as slaves, not sovereigns. If a regime ignores that everyone has one life and has the right to pursue their happiness, it should not be maintained. Thank you for coming today. Stay healthy!

2024년의 5월18일은 덕분에 더 특별(?)하게 지나가네요. 앞으로도 해마다 전보다 더 추모하는 마음으로 보낼 것 같아요. 언제건 광주에 가게되면 민주묘지와 아시아문화전당에 꼭 가보고 싶네요. 여행 다큐 한 편 잘 보고 갑니다~ 감사해요 !
