If NRL players are looking to make the most money they can out of professional sport before they retire, then Matt Burton should go to the USA and be a punter in the NFL. He would make MILLIONS!!
Given his qualities and the fact that being a punter is boring, if he really wants to maximize his income (and not get bored) he should play Rugby Union for one of the best TOP14 teams in France...
@@Jakescapez Do you realise how many Australian punters have made it big in the USA over recent years, going back to Darren Bennett (NFL: 1994 - 2005). NFL recruiters are starting to look to Australia, and more specifically the AFL, for punters.
Even though Burton's technique is out of this world the ppl that are saying Burton should go to NFL have to consider that kicking an NFL ball is different than kicking an NRL ball obviously, they're different balls. Not saying Burton wouldn't be successful, there's just other things to consider besides just how he kicks an NRL ball.

I know right
Your not wrong😂
Thanks Matt Burton and Fox League
Can't wait to try this out tomorrow 😁🙏
Thank you, everyone was waiting for this!
Americans saying he should play in nfl don’t understand that this guy wants to play 80 mins not come on 8 times
Yea
NFL is some low IQ stuff. He should switch to AFL/Footy instead, or at least proper Union rugby 🏉
Yeah but he'd get paid 10 times as much for those 8mins as he does for 80...

???? They have kids over there that practice this one skill set day n day out for years and you think an NRL player is going to get in above them?

Life isn't all about making money. This is a guy who loves NRL. He already has enough to be set for life
Burton should do a tutorial on how he gets his kickoffs so high
he kicks it harder than anyone else. also the angle his foot goes through the ball
He would do well in the AFL
Me realising how flexible he is...
And then height / limb length and strength which really, is the main factor
Lockyer also had a massive boat
Is his boat massive?
I'm a QUEENSLANDER BUT I LIKE HOW HE KIKS THE BALL
Cleary watching this like 👀
Haha😂
I follow your way of kicking
The burton bomb 😍😍😍😍
I can kick like that too. I just tried to ring Myra left left boot

Can’t stop kicking spirals
Camera in sky seeing the ball cool , I thought people pushed ball down onto there foot as kick
Done this years ago
Put him back in origin 👍👍👍

I mean it's pretty easy to do if it's the only kick he's got 🤷
@TheTruth-DealWithItespecially trying to get the spin and height on it
u know coming to australia with only 1 year experience & being better then majority of the team i wasnt happy with way my body was used for nothing in return as some of injuries effected me working 5-6 days a week
anyways with me looking at skills part with kicks & passing i NEVER WATCH any games or taught by anyone anything just tried to out muslce others which i did here in divison 3 then moved up to c grade & was better then some who played in ur reps at penrith for sg ball
i woulda been a tone better understanding the finese part of rugby league
i woulda put alot into holes & also kicked alot behind the line with how deep full backs played & also done some cross kicks cause i remember teams like ST MARYS compressing where sometimes FULLBACK was up in the line or near it our HALFS werent organized enough to put into codes or running plays like x ,y or a pod of 3 or 4 cause when they got to game day y would be YELLWING OUT CALLS put the KICK BEHIND which they can hear i picked up on alot watching a tone more nrl in 2021 before that i watched abit of halfs with cronk, slater & cameron smith combining i woulda been alot more cordinated with the team using my PAWNS lol i woulda played as a 6 or 7 & honestly woulda loved the responsibility & challenges of facing quality sides back then my common sense was a big issue to understand basic things at 17yrs old i couldnt apply for jobs nor communicate properly im 36 now my common sense is alot better to understand not to use my body they way i did i wasnt that big to play front row
but definitly i woulda been a tone better playing with a team using width of the feild & using decent ball carries to isolate defendors i know i could get quick play of the balls & also wearing out bigger sides playing hard through the middle using my hooker alot making markers who were bigger tackle alot after 3rd or 4th set i woulda always thrown abit there & made markers make heaps of tackles & after 3rd or 4th set roaming around i woulda also known which sides were better at communicating & which guys liked to jam in & type of plays i woulda had ready i woulda always had good prep thursdays made whole team feel like we all important & i know we woulda done pretty good scoring alot more points our halfs werent organized enough
but definitly it woulda been a backs game with what we had we werent a big side to play the way we did but
but the kicking part with such bombs i woulda not wanted to im better off with short kicking game from 40 yards out 30 yards out was my strength as i started kicking playing around we woulda scored alot with kicks at times & also TARGETING WEAK SHOULDERS as i noticed a runner hitting ur LEFT shoulder u werent able to tackle that well alot of things i woulda noticed i woulda always thrown decoys at sides that like to jam in
i woulda used my hooker , 7 or 6 & my centres alot with my 1 as i woulda made him roam alot more from side to side same with me in earlier sets
everyone i met in australia had 2-9+ years more experience then me & i was looked at to do alot wasnt fair with only 1yr experience & i never watched games of nrl before nor had tv in nz to know it like they did
plus never had any maintaince work done on me so my recovery was bad week to week i still havent done any maintaince work on my body at 36 im due soon
but such bombs a crazy tho i cant do it i tried afew times i cant hit it right im a short kicker not a long bomb type
wingers & fullbacks lol
the BEST ONE i REMEMBER was the 2006 GRAND FINAL between STORM vs MANLY where greg inglis put one up for michael crocker that smashed brett sewart got knocked out from those have a lot of hang time also so if timed right ouch lol
No point kicking it that big when your own team cant even catch it
