I think one of the darkest moments was when Ivar killed Ceolburt and you find out that Ivar did it, but blamed a pack of wolves. I definitely enjoyed killing Ivar. I do wish Shadia's death was on here, that broke me completely.
To me, the darkest moment in the entire franchise, is from the AC4 add-on: Freedom Cry. It's the mission where you have to try to rescue enslaved people trapped inside a sinking slave ship. Men, women, children, in shackles, as the water is pouring in. But you're not meant to rescue them all because that's the point of the tragedy. You save some before too much water gets in and you're forced to escape. But as you escape, you are surrounded by drowning and drowned black bodies. It's excruciating and horrifying to watch and you feel like shit for not rescuing all of them.

A question I have is why have all three new games had either a kid/kids die or have a kid Witness everyone they grew up with die and then almost die to a wolf the three new ac games are starting to get really dark
her missions breaks my heart everytime..... Ezio carrying his father and brothers bodies.... and then Cristina dying in his arms.... it's so painful 😭😭
This whole video feels like a mess... the upbeat music really ruins the emotional moments showcased here. Also, I feel like half of these aren't even dark... what's so dark about Basim being revived? Basim talking about his wife and child's death during a main mission at the campfire with Eivor is much darker than this. Same for Al Mualims betrayal... I don't feel like that is dark at all... there are way too many dark moments to choose some of the ones shown in the video... sorry but this was not a good video, try to improve for the next one with better tone awareness and more research of the games you are showcasing clips from.
…Actually, yeah. I agree with the top spot. In contrast to losing family members at the hands of traitors and Templars: Khemu’s demise was brought about my Bayek’s lack of temperament and arrogance at thinking he could single-handedly eliminate a group of men that were armed and had him and his son dead to rights. Bayek would eventually hone his skills, patiently and strategically biding his time and hunting his targets and truly setting the standards for an order that would operate in that capacity for millennia. That being said, one could argue that Odyssey was hardly a game about being an “Assassin” at all - with the only lore being tied to it the fact that Kassandra had to pass the Staff of Hermès to Layla who would eventually free Basim/Loki and bring the Isu arc of the story full-circle.
there's also a side story over a handful of missions that link Kassandra to Bayek & Aya...it's been a while but I'm fairly certain one of them is her direct descendant.
@@newageBoundhippie that’s literally the last cutscene in the DLC for odyssey. They show show kassandras kid walking and changing into their descendants as the background changes from Greece to Egypt and Kassandra to Aya
Well, Odyssey is hardly an AC game if you choose to ignore how it literally shows how the millenia long battle between the Hidden Ones/Assassins & Order Of The Ancients/ Templars began. Yes I recognize the Hidden Ones technically came in to existence in Origins.
@@davidparkes7741 Yes, the same theme is there. a single skilled hero methodically hunting down the members of an Order that wants to control the world, and also has a personal vendetta against them.
If the doctor / religious leader that was experimenting on the poor, homeless, and insane from the first Assassin's Creed game isn't on this list the whole list is wrong.
Honestly, I didn't care at all abut odyssey's story, and that Phoibe moment was forced and stupid. Shadya's death though was the one moment that made me feel something in a long time
When Phoebe died I really hated Aspasia for it. Not only does she knowingly send a child on a highly dangerous mission to a potentially hazardous location, she also simply DOESN'T.GIVE.A.F*CK. I was absolutely astonished when I told her, as Alexios, "Her blood is on your hands" and she replied with "People die in war bruh not my fault". Yes, people die in war, doesn't mean you should send helpless children on lethal errands that you could run yourself or hire a misthios for, you brainless narcissist. But now, where to find such a misthios .. oh that's right haha, YOU'RE LOOKING AT ONE. Phoebe's death could have so been avoided and Aspasia just shrugged it off like "whatever, bruh". I liked her up until that point then I just figured she had to die. Ugh, just thinking about it still gets me riled up lmao.
What makes it even more sad is that during the crossover quest in Valhalla, Kassandra finds Phoibe's wooden eagle and just...collapses onto her knees. Her death REALLY affected her

Could be him retelling his stories I guess, not exactly Animus but at least we'll see his past
Kassandra is also in acc valhalla
Ezio carrying his father and brothers bodies is dark af
Why does nobody mention Cristina from AC Brotherhood
No one honest has an easy life and it’s aching for one that causes the most pain
A question I have is why have all three new games had either a kid/kids die or have a kid Witness everyone they grew up with die and then almost die to a wolf the three new ac games are starting to get really dark
Am I the only one thinking about Cristina from AC Brotherhood?
her missions breaks my heart everytime..... Ezio carrying his father and brothers bodies.... and then Cristina dying in his arms.... it's so painful 😭😭
Jack the Ripper DLC was dark
This whole video feels like a mess... the upbeat music really ruins the emotional moments showcased here.
Also, I feel like half of these aren't even dark... what's so dark about Basim being revived? Basim talking about his wife and child's death during a main mission at the campfire with Eivor is much darker than this. Same for Al Mualims betrayal... I don't feel like that is dark at all... there are way too many dark moments to choose some of the ones shown in the video... sorry but this was not a good video, try to improve for the next one with better tone awareness and more research of the games you are showcasing clips from.
I didn't like Balsum or what they did to Layla's story and I think his game is going to suck but to each their own
I really thought Myrine’s death would be on here
SHADIA! Tho I am glad to see Phoebe on here, for I would not forget her, but nor will we forget the name as we enter into the duat, SHADIA!
My poor Phoibe... :(
Death of Baldur in Odin's arms in AC Valhalla
The reader aka Desmond Miles conscious lives on in the grey.
*Playing Black Flag. Mary and Anne go to prison*
"Oh those crazy girls. They'll be fine" 😁
*Anne's baby and Mary die*
"Oh noes" 😢
Ac origins eas absolutely beautiful, narratively and aesthetically.
@@bn-tc2tk thank you for the clarification. I remembered the basic image but forgot it was Aya specifically
So basically bayek kills his own some and main villain admits he did it tho he didnt do it
If the doctor / religious leader that was experimenting on the poor, homeless, and insane from the first Assassin's Creed game isn't on this list the whole list is wrong.
You could of warned of spoilers.. more so for valhalla -.-.
Wait what?! Basim is a sage? Isn't Aita the sage? I am confused. Someone clarify.
Yes, Aita is a sage. The word Sage simply refers to human reincarnations of Aita. And there are A LOT of them
Honestly, I didn't care at all abut odyssey's story, and that Phoibe moment was forced and stupid. Shadya's death though was the one moment that made me feel something in a long time
Where is cristina?
Her death REALLY affected her
Connor killing his own father???
the saddest moments...
How is Shadya not on this list. Invalid lol
What's up with The Truth in AC2 anyway? I Platinumed it today.🤔
Lisbons earthquake is dark? It fel like a donkey kong mini game. Elise death in ezios arms was darker
It's dark when you realize that it's an event that actually happened.
Bro, how the hell are you going to put phoebe at the bottom of the list?
I haven’t been the same without my self☹️
