2025 KIA Seltos : Alternative cars to replace the S variant that is no longer present

Kia has unveiled the 2025 Seltos, which will be available at dealerships soon. When it does, it will cost $100 more than its predecessor, with prices starting at $24,590.The crossover underwent a facelift last year, so the alterations are mild this time around. However, Kia stated that there are "new standard features and improvements across all trim levels."The majority of the changes apply to the mid-level Seltos EX, which now includes Parking Distance Warning-Reverse and a Smart Power Liftgate on all-wheel drive models. These improvements also apply to the top-tier Seltos SX, although the EX has a new sunroof kit.The Seltos S starts at $25,090 and has new 17-inch alloy wheels in a two-tone finish. The model also includes a driver's window with auto up and down, which is a modest improvement over auto down just.Unfortunately, a 4.25-inch cluster display has replaced the earlier 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster. That's sad, but at least the S variant avoids the $100 price hike.
Aside from the aforementioned upgrades, Kia described a "updated interior featuring improved materials and finishes that elevate the driving experience." The manufacturer did not clarify, but stated that the Seltos EX AWD now includes a cargo cover.
The LX, S, and EX models are all powered by a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine producing 146 horsepower (109 kW / 148 PS) and 132 pound-feet (179 Nm) of torque. They're linked to a continuously variable transmission, allowing the crossover to accelerate from 0 to 62 mph (0 to 100 km/h) in an unimpressive 9.3 seconds. When equipped with all-wheel drive, the time rises to 10.1 seconds.
Buyers wishing for higher performance might choose the SX or X-Line models. They have a turbocharged 1.6-liter engine that produces 195 horsepower (145 kW / 198 PS) and 195 pound-feet (264 Nm) of torque. They are linked to an eight-speed automatic transmission and a standard all-wheel drive system. This configuration allows them to reach 62 mph (100 km/h) in 8.4 seconds.
