Just wanted to say thank you! You helped me alot when I was starting out and I appreciate what you do. I want to get a gopro soon and do the same really. You are awesome man and thanks for what you do. Love and light my friend!
Great video and explanation of the kit. I have one, but haven't used it much because I'm just a weekend detailer. My 12mm and rotary feature work flawlessly without bogging down, but when I put the 3mm throw adapter on, the machine spins through different speeds without issue, but as soon as I lightly touch it with my finger, or touch the paint, it stops dead. My questions is does yours do this, or is it possible I have a defective 3mm throw adapter? Thanks in advance for any advice you may have.
Mine does the same thing on the 3mm throw, honestly all you really need is the 12mm and rotary.. the 3mm throw is pointless in my opinion. The 12 mm well give you a better cut and finish
This mini polisher is a replacement for the Rupes mini polisher, but not for pxe80. The pxe80 is a different machine altogether due to it's quick change out capability and compact size. It can run the 3" backing plate as a rotary with zero stalling and issue and the only requirement is breaking off the pin in the rotary attachment. No need to modify backing plates. If i didn't have the rupes nano i would consider the new maxshine for sure.
Watching all of your videos and enjoy them. I have a 45’ sailboat in St Lucia that constantly needs attention. In trying to determine which polisher I should bring down for oxidation and polishing, I was sold on your recommendation for the Makita. But then I heard you mention the maxshine products. You fail to mention model numbers, so I would like to confirm my choice. In the Makita, for just boat owner type use, would you recommend the Makita 9237 or is there something in the Maxshine that is more suitable. Thank you.
Hi Ken, thanks for the comment. If you are looking to remove oxidation, your best best is to go with the regular Makita rotary buffer. The Maxshine is a DA polisher, which is really meant to apply wax/sealant and to do very light polishing. Here’s a video I made explaining all of the proper boat detailing machines and what their purpose is. Hope this helps! m.ua-cam.com/video/ru3I5y6coGk/v-deo.html
What’s up man! So the lake country pads I’m seeing are 1.5” pads but say they fit a 1” backing plate. They advertise this as 1.5”. Do you know for sure if those smaller lake country pads work on this?
Great review. I was looking at this product to correct a speaker with high gloss black enamel finish that has a chip. I plan to use black nail polish to fill and then use this tool to polish. As the expert, what would you recommend for cutting and finishing polishes/pads to use for this application? Thanks.
Yes, the machine would be great. If you want perfect results, I would go buy lake country pads not the kit pads. But the kit pads will get the job done as well.
@@DrakesDetailing I'm looking at Jescar Correcting Compound and 3M Perfect-It EX Ultrafine Machine Polish - right choice? I need to access via amazon.ca . Also, the nail polish will likely dry slightly above the surface requiring me to buff down to meet existing surface, any concerns with this process? Cheers.
Too bad they don't make it available with a 3". Can't wait to see when the new Shinemate EB210 comes out. They have 2 different Rotary speed attachments a 3-5mm attachment for polishing or sanding and a 12mm DA attachment!
Great video . I think maxshine has got it going on. I bought the pxe 80 last year and I'm glad I did but that thing being able to run rotary without modifications is the thing that wins it over for me. Like you said if you run the flex with the three inch on rotary it does not like it and there is probably a reason why it came the way it did.
very good video and the tips you give to make a perfect detail continue like this 💪🏼, I ask besides the price, is there any difference between this machine and the rupes or flex?
Hey bro! They don’t offer a corded one. Here’s the link: maxshineusa.com/product/cordless-dual-action-polisher/?_gl=1*1gbfw1t*_up*MQ..&gclid=CjwKCAjwps-zBhAiEiwALwsVYcF_XDwwGhS561GAgLEmsEMgU63gqvjp64dqopPFhFPGFQSQfr9sjRoCGv0QAvD_BwE Always remember to use my discount code at purchase: DRAKE15
I just don't like the fact that it's a 1.5 in and a 2 in instead of a 1 in and 2 in or 1.1. One inch is more handier on vehicles and motorcycles than a one and a half inch.
Keep up the 100% honesty!! We need more people like you on UA-cam! Made me make my purchase 😊
I appreciate that!
Great review!
Thanks!

Thanks brother!
I bought one of these a few weeks ago. So far I love it!
Awesome! 😎🔥
Very nice combo. They think of everything for you and its very affordable.
💯😎
should i buy this instead of the M8S V2

Thanks! I will stick with the 12mm and the rotary.
I’ve been debating between this one and the one from spta great review
I love this little guy!
Great video Drake looking forward to more content!
Thank you!
Just used your coupon and bought one after many reviews. Thanks for the review.
Not a problem! Thanks for watching! 😎👍🏻
GREAT review, no BS. Can I use a 3 inch backing plate and pads with this machine? Thanks
Not sure, I have only used 1 & 2 inch
Mine arrived today 🎉
Saweeeet!
Awesome video Drake you the man.
Thanks! Ha!
Awesome Drake. Just ordered mine with your Coupon Code via your link below. Can't wait to use it.
Thank you brother!
Very thorough well done video. Thanks
Glad it was helpful!

Can you use the 12mm throw with a 1.5in backing plate?
Thanks! No, they would be no way to attach that unfortunately.

Yes, those should be totally fine for that
Would be a great tool for getting the gelcoat between the nonskid.
👍🏻👍🏻😎
Thanks Drake..had my eye on this thing since Maxshine demoed it at MTE.
Your welcome! 😎
Great setup !! I got a new max shine mini in today !!!
Nice!!🔥
Great review, thanks 👍😁
👍🏻😎
Can you use the 2inch pad with the rotary?
Yes!

Is it only for polishing or can you buy any sanding attachments for it 🤔
Hey! Yes just for polishing. I wish they made sand discs that small! I’ve yet to see them
Keep up the good work.
Thanks bro! We appreciate it 😎🔥😊
Where can I buy the lake country small pads for this product? I don’t see them on your website.
Shinesupply.com
Does this one heat up a lot?
Too bad they don't make it available with a 3".

Just ordered one! Thanks for the review. I was wondering how this stacked up against the Flex mini
Awesome, your welcome!

The studio is pretty cool man
😎🔥💯
very good video and the tips you give to make a perfect detail continue like this 💪🏼, I ask besides the price, is there any difference between this machine and the rupes or flex?
Rupee really upgraded their cutting power, so cutting wise they are about the same, but the Rupes won’t wear you out nearly as much!
Have a drink every time he says machine.
Good luck!! Haha 😂
Fantastic review video, I sell this polisher on my site as well, I want to use this video in the description
Awesome bro!! Do it!
How many days it will take to deliver?
It sure, you’ll have to contact maxshine.
How would you compare it to the Adams SK Pro 2.0? Cuz the Adams is $100 off rn
Hey bro! I personally haven’t used it so I couldn’t really tell you
How i suscribe to the on line course??
Hey bro! As of right now I don’t have an online course as of now. If you’re interested I may have an in-person course coming up in sprig. Stay tuned!
What's the avg running time plz?
Hey there! I don’t actually know off the top of my head…
Just when I think I'm caught up on detailing gear... 😂
It'll be never ending lol
Haha it’s all good! It all comes over time 😎
Is that better than the nano polisher
In my opinion, yes 😎
have this wired? got a link ?
Hey bro! They don’t offer a corded one.

Not this particular one
Ol' lumberjack Drake
Haha
is it as good as flex pxe 80?
In my opinion, yes!
so this is the tool you use daily yourself?
I use it myself, but not daily.
This is a tool that is great to have when needed!
I only need it on a handful of details a month
Just ordered a Carbon collective mini… but considered this unit 🤔🤔
Nice! It’s a great unit for sure
The rotary attachments for me don't work the pad stops spinning with the lightest of pressure and are doing nothing but vibrating on the surface
It’s not meant to do too much agressive cutting, but in small bits and areas, it gets the job done.
No way you're comparing pxe80 with this thing!!
Well that’s seems to be exactly what I am doing… ha
I just don't like the fact that it's a 1.5 in and a 2 in instead of a 1 in and 2 in or 1.1. One inch is more handier on vehicles and motorcycles than a one and a half inch.

Can the extension rod be used on the dual heads as well?
Yes
