What's the biggest gold you've ever found (in Paydirt or otherwise)?

Biggest gold I ever found was 8.36 grams... in a NGC holder... in an envelope addressed to me. I have been interested in getting into paydirt but just haven't pulled the trigger yet.

I don't know how much work it would be or if anyone else would be interested in watching it. But a video similar to this where you don't pan in the field but bring back more dirt and sluice it I would like. Something about sluicing I really enjoy watching especially when its gathered as opposed to a pay dirt purchased. I think its just the larger amounts and seeing what you get at the end. Love the videos, keep up the good work.

Hi Bytescout, great question. So there isn't any evidence or history of lode mining in this area, therefore crushing the quartz likely would not produce any free mill gold. I have a curious question, because I would like to start doing this as a hobby with my boyfriend, but I would like to collect the gold, and make him something special later down the line. Im just curious how long something like that might take? 😂 maybe I’ll buy some gold and melt it down with what I find.
He’s a material type of person so I’m leaning on sentimental. We live in CO. 🙋🏼‍♀️

Well it all depends on your location, luck and how strong your back is! Lots of digging involved, and even more fun. It could take anywhere from days to months, depending on your determination and luck. My suggestion would be to bring your boyfriend with you to go digging and have some fun looking for gold together it’s always a great time, and that’s the real treasure 👍
