I think you would really enjoy a song called Ross Capicchioni by Joyner Lucas. It’s an older song but a great story told from 2 different prospectives, and a new artist to get into.

I love this song... I'm agnostic, I'm not religious, atheist, or scientific... if anything? I guess I'm a mixture of all three; because I don't know for certain about anything that I haven't tangibly experienced myself. I try to keep my hopes high with my expectations low. The one lyric that always gets me in this song is "how can I have faith when there is no hope?" ...we live in an awful world, I try to love everybody but some people truly seem to be a walking husk filled with hate and evil. There is the flipside though, some people are so selfless they'd go out of their way to help a complete stranger- the disgusting part of that is how trying to be helpful to someone can actually be dangerous for yourself. That's fucked up. I don't know if I believe in "God" but I confidently believe there is something out there, some sort of higher power... maybe it's just the universe itself? Energy can't be created nor destroyed right? Maybe it itself is so intelligent from every experience everything that has ever existed has had, that could be a "God"? Idk... this song really does make me think though. Whatever the higher power is, I'm pretty sure it understands that I embrace it whole-heartedly (as long as it's for the greater good) because I can't imagine people dying and then nothing happens afterwards. Everybody has a soul, and c'mon, it MUST be meant for something?! I'd refuse to believe otherwise. I just hope everybody finds their way away from the common "fuckboy/thot" lifestyle because it's so detrimental it almost angers me... I work at a bar 6 nights a week and I see the same faces getting drunk and going home with different faces almost every day. (Idk if anyone's reading this but anywayyy) it takes 7-10 years for every cell in your body to be replaced right? That coincides on a spiritual level as well. When people have sex with new people over and over, and it's almost as if they lose the connection to their own self because there's 10+ people's energy following them around for months-years at a time.... idk, I'm kinda drunk rn (like I said, work at a bar lmao) but i hate seeing people looking so happy but knowing inside they're confused as hell while trying to hide it instead of seeking any potential answers they could spiritually mature from.

@@jacobturner7536 hell yeah, I still work at the same place but I've adapted more into tolerating things, and I've met some amazing people on the way, been through a lot of shit but also had some of the best moments from the place I typically tend to hate the most (the bar I work at obvi lol) I've met some of the worst people and some of the best, some of the most open and closed-minded, and it really puts my own mentality into perspective in a way that I'm happy/lucky(?) that I'm so open-minded and understanding, I just wish more people were as well though. And aye if you ever need to talk/vent or just simply share ideas I'm here for you man I love getting to know people, soaking in experience from a 3rd person perspective yanno? It's like a rule of thumb for me to attempt putting myself in others shoes, and try to find a linear style of advice to give for problems others deal with; even though I struggle with taking my own advice... I'm working tn so I'm drunken rambling rn and I apologize, but I mean it though I love everybody who isn't ignorant or narcissistic; and being empathetic is my best trait tbh I'm a good person to vent to if you ever need to. Everyone handles everything differently, and ik I don't know you and vice versa but I always wish everyone the best. life can shit on you sometimes but I hope it's a solid one piece turd rather than a liquid cesspool of shit . Lmfao I'm drunk and high, It's 5:30am and I'm still up wtf I'm boutta go to bed now but I was happy to revisit this thread, thanks to you man; stay sane never sober, and if you stay high stay highdrated! ❤️

Agnostic can be applied to theism and atheism. It's the question of knowledge. Atheism and theism have to do with belief. I think the biggest problem with deism and theism is they're based on the claim that you understand a being that nobody should be able to understand let a lone placed into a box of doctrine. "Lean not onto your own understanding" Huge contradiction because that's basically saying "what I understand is BS but you should still believe what I do". No god should be under a religion let alone even being known if there even is one.
Look up who Dax listens to, learn something about the realm we live, Scientism since 1940s is why you do not know very much, Book of Jasher or 2nd Ezra's, the Quran, all based on same code. Read what was hidden for too long.......

Love this song. Dax talks about so much I've been through. I know how it feels to have a gun to my head by my father. I wish he had pulled the trigger 30 years ago, but for some reason he didn't and he's dead and I'm still breathing. So many questions! So many unanswered questions! Dear God I don't understand! There is this little quote that reminds me of what he said about asking God for help nut he didn't answer and it really put it into perspective for me. "If u ever wonder where God is when u are struggling, remember the teacher is always quiet during a test" i truly believe when we go through things that are difficult and even painful, there is something we are supposed to learn from that and it actually makes us a better person in the end.
I absolutely LOVE this. I shared his video on SM because I told was really curious how my pastor friends would answer this. Also, I thought he brought up questions that anyone who has ever heard it could relate to it. Regardless of someone’s belief system, this song connects on so many many many levels. So I told them that they are given about 30 (just an estimate lol) sermon topics in one song. Also churches and also counselors (my specialization is in Christian counseling) NEED to try to help young people have been through things we didn’t have to and they are traumatized by it. School shootings (just ONE example) are things that we didn’t have to go through personally and I can’t make it make sense so I wanted to hear how we can help younger people going through some of these things. But if we want to help young people to turn to God to help in their lives, WE have to UNDERSTAND these issues but also WE NEED TO ALSO KEEP UP with what they are seeing and dealing with these days. Your reaction was great! Loved it. You’re SO good at showing how therapist SHOULD be treating people. It’s ok not to have all of the answers and say that! So good!

This week has I’ve definitely asked “WHY” plenty of times. I had to break up with a girl I’ve been seeing for few months on Monday. Had to be straight with her and myself that I’m not going to fall in love with her.
I was up front and honest with her she wasn’t happy but accepted my feelings. Now to the whys. I just can’t seem to find that right person that I’m going to truly click with I’m 40 now and just want someone who on same side of the court. Maybe changing my lifestyle would help or maybe finding a new area 🤷🏼♂️. Great reaction had to leave a comment DAX always gets my brain going and of course Tom answer a few Questions

Growing up I was always told to talk to God as if he were a friend. You’re allowed to be angry at your friends. You’re allowed to ask your friends questions. You’re allowed to cry to your friends. You’re allowed to vent to your friends. I always carried this advice with me whether I’m at my lowest or not. I always give God updates about my life. I yell at him. I cry to him. He’s my most consistent friend and companion and was my only Ally when I came out as Trans and Bi.

Job is definitely my favorite book of the Bible. I have really bad depression and it has helped me a lot when I was in my darkest times.

We all want the comfort of security and and it’s never guaranteed and that’s the point even the best of us had the most absurd of hoops to jump through but we’ve got to keep pushing to better ourselves, as ourselves through, the world to a better place for the ones that will come after us
If you haven't already reacted, I STRONGLY suggest checking out Book of Revelations and Eternity. Both are great in their own way, kinda as a follow up on this song in a sense. Preferably Book of Revelations first and then Eternity. He asks A LOT of good questions in both and they both make you think. Won't be disappointed.

I totally relate to this song and have listened to it many times. Skipped many times too, it's a good song that can get you in your feels...
Anyways, I take his frustration as putting forth effort to talk to God and not hear back. I feel the same. I tell myself that it takes someone with alot more faith and clean life to actually hear from God.
You should check out masterpiece by motionless in white, I'd love to uear your thoughts on it with it being such a sad song for a metal band, and has a great deal to do with mental health

I just discovered dax recently he was on my Spotify playlist of Tom McDonald and this actually was the song that I first heard of his and everything he says everything he asked that's me I have struggled with religion on my life struggles with addiction abuse losing my kids losing my grandchild because I have a son who's anyway that's another story but oh God that's just says every word I've ever wanted to say in this song

honestly issue I take with this song is the fact that like many people who put all their faith in religion is the fact that it's "blind" faith I say this for the simple reason of I got baptized when I was 8 back when I had faith in a good and just god back after I had read through the bible front to back many times, well shortly after several things happened in my life terrible things both to my person and a few important deaths in my family, I prayed as hard as I could for guidance and for strength for a couple years while battling with myself trying not to try and mutilate myself and kill myself but throughout those 2 years the scars added up and attempts added up because I neither got the guidance nor the strength from either god nor family nor friends within the church so by the time I was 10 I was convinced that it was a "blind" faith that was there to give people false hope. but to each, their own bad things will always happen to good people and sadly good things will continue to happen to bad people that's sadly the fact of life.
Dax has an honesty that is unbelievable to witness. He is truly God's messenger.

I think it’s because if we die and our soul leaves body you become a higher dimensional energy where you are consciousness as a whole (heaven) you are unconditional love that has a human experience from all prospectives I think we just take life too seriously and yes I believe we choose to experience pain hurt truma as I say you can’t learn to fix a car without getting getting your hands dirty, so we incarnanate just to learn pain and hurt because consciousness as a whole is growing and it all comes down to love and surly we all have experiences falling in love well they say in the 100’s of nde’s I’ve watched saying it’s that but more it’s the unconditional love that your dog has for you but more and yeah from what I get is, life is simply a play a role play and it will feel real hense why we would need to forget who we are on the quantum side of things (our spirit) so yeah not saying life ain’t real so chill I’m saying it’s okay to feel low it’s about the experience and how you overcome that experience.. be aware of what you have learned from the good in life and also the bad times.. remember dieing is only a physical thing and so is our emotions out true form is just love we are the universe experiencing it’s self or you could say we are spiritual beings having a human experience ❤️ this is what I get from the 100’ if not thousands of near death experiences being shared on podcasts you don’t have to religious to feel this as religion and being spiritual with your self is not the same thing spiritual side is were it’s more of a knowing we find within us through meditation and that is that there is a higher power (a energy source) or a god which is who we are as a whole we are that energy source having an experience but also being separate but connected. Religion in the church is more worshiping possible man changed bible as I do beileve the bible does have good teachings but a lot of it is clearly been changed by man to benefit there needs because it’s more controlled in religion where as being spiritual is finding your own truth not believing someone else’s so yeah sorry about the long ass rant 😂😂 but yeah
