Watching this after the live - On the subject of male/female viewership. Until recently when I went in and hit the settings over the head, UA-cam was convinced I was a single male under 25 instead of a married, middle-age woman.
Wow! How do you check that?
American voltages is standard 120v@60hz, but stove, oven, fridge runs on 240v. We also have 360 and 480 in industrial applications.

Frustratingly, despite verifying that my gender was set as female after searching the help function and finding a direct link to a 'gender' settings page - my ad settings have now turned back to thinking I'm a man again! I suspect it's because I watch history, interesting facts, and restoration channels - so it's decided I HAVE to be a man if I'm interested in facts and people repairing furniture and other antiques.
You cat fished UA-cam 🤣
I'll need to look at my stats, too
Bloody UA-cam neglected to notify me that this was on AGAIN 🙄
The man has so many channels they can't let him monopolize the entire algorithm. Ludwig would be sweating rn if they promoted every Simon stream
Time zone effes me. I wake up and its always a few hours ago. Hate it
"I have to stop swearing -"
"I edited the shit..."
As an American, I can assure you there are many of us who are not happy. We have some really angry people in our country. also have a lot of stupid people in our country. There is perhaps a correlation.
I'm almost 56 y/o, and I enjoy your content, Simon! Especially the tangents!❤ Keep up the great work!
57yo not-a-dude here, enjoying it right along with you 😄
I can't believe there are actual adults born after 2000.
Edit: Simon laughing about having to microwave a mug of water instead of boil water in a kettle = how Amaricans make tea
Simon "you can't have a gas oven..." Me: looks at my gas stove/oven
Every organization has administrative costs. Especially ones that have full time employees, they have to eat and pay their bills.. its the ones that pay their CEOs an obscene salary and spend more money "fundraising" than going to the ones they claim to help is the problem
Simon, that charity sounds amazing. I lost my mother young, and my sister was even younger, so that is an amazing cause. I would buy it for charity
USA homes usually have 2 outlets that are 220 for oven and clothes dryer, all other outlets are 110.
My mother refused to use pacifiers/dummies, so the first time I saw a baby use one (I was about 2 or 3, depending on whole tells us) I asked about "the baby plug," which is now a whole thing with my extended family. So we don't have dummies/pacifiers, we have "baby plugs."
Midwest American here (female, by the way, for your demographic interest): your notion of the "Red Coat Kettle" company made me choke on my electric kettle brewed tea! Don't know where she got it (except it was decades ago and not through the internet), but the electric kettle my mother gave me sits out on my counter and is used daily.
Anglo American here, most people I know have electric kettles (but I do live in a very international town)
They are 100% faster than the stove even in the states
1. Avocado toast is awesome and seasoned or topped with lots of things.
2. Kettles have started being a thing but we have a different electrical service and they were EXTREMELY inconvenient. Now they are almost on par with a stove top kettle.
3. Sun tea is brewed in the sun with COLD water.
4. Air fryers are miniature convection ovens. Grown up easy bake.
5. Many happy returns and well wishes for the future whistle boi!
EasyBake ovens originally worked off the heat of a single lightbulb. Can you imagine?

I'm aware. My mom had the O.G. suzie homemaker set up.
Simons thinking “do I do it for money or a tax write off” lol
With my second one I wasn't rushing to the emergency room for every little scratch or boo boo that he got
That beard is lush…Nice!!
Happy Birthday for tomorrow Simon. hope you have a good one 37 is a great age🤣👍
Potato Ricer is my favorite kitchen gadget. Makes homemade mashed potatoes so smooth and easy
Don't worry, I'm 46 and I watch you 😁😁
“You can’t use gas for an oven, it’s not the 1980’s” lmao
90% of houses around me in New England have gas ovens/stoves
I will invest in Red Coat kettles. Long live the empire of tea🇬🇧🇬🇧
I am 38 and I must be pretending to be young by watching Simon
:( Still waiting for the full intro song as a yt song or on sportify.
Hey! I’m also a not dude! 😁 of age 30 👋🏾 🎉 one day I’ll catch these live. Im usually up lol
I'm a 37yo female from Oklahoma...we are sympatico, Simon 😂

Welllllll; HAPPY BIRTHDAY ANYWAY Fact Boi!
The princess of Wales uses a pram that is the equivalent of a Rolls-Royce
Sux I misses this!
Helloooo to Simon and Friends!
There was a story in the British press a few years ago. A man had placed an accumulated bet with a high street bookies. 10 things needed to happen throughout the football season for a million pound payout and these happened. The bookies refused to payout and refunded his stake money. This is perfectly legal as it is classed as a gentleman's agreement .
Dude sorry for the extra comment but when I lived in a huge loft in Newark we had a swing in there and I would swing on the swing and look at New York City out the window 30:45 30:48
stoves and dryers... we have 240v service to the house that's split into 2 lines... we use both lines for certain things... dryers, stoves, and ev car chargers are the biggest things i can think of in a normal house
Yeah, it's called split phase. Between either line and neutral, it's 120V. Between the two lines, it's 240V. A lot of apartment buildings and commercial buildings have three-phase 208V instead though, so line to neutral is 120V as usual, but large appliances just get two of those phases and have to run on 208V instead of 240V. I've never lived in such a place, but I'd hate to only be able to dry my clothes 75% as quickly.
Happy Birthday Simon!
As a surprise i was recently watching one of Simon's monetized videos which had a 20 minute sermon as the ad Congratulations on promoting Christianity Simon. LOL The paraglider is good idea if it is the sort with a motor then you can use it for work sometimes on vacations.
Noone steals your car when you leave the keys in, but they'll steal your towball cover!
hahaha, when I saw my rice cooker this morning, still a bit tired and all, I looked at it and thought: „weird I think I dreamed about some strange guy rambling about kitchen machinery, what an odd thing“ then I remembered that it wasn’t a dream, but factbois finest over here .😂
Simon’s accountant sensed he was about to spend 5K on sporting equipment!!
Ok I had a horrible childhood and I wish there was something like that for me. I'll eat ramen for a week to buy one. Dave is such 13:40 a cool cat
Someone stole our stroller of Mini Mouse at Disney World. The security was no help. Only reason we lost it was because they didn't let us bring a stroller in the building! Or Pram, I think is how you spell it.
A pram is a flat-bottomed boat or lighter, used in the Netherlands and the Baltic ports for loading and unloading merchant vessels... according to google.
I’m a 36 year old woman and I’ve only known other women around my age who watch. Wtf lol
Cheers, merry greetings and much love 2 all of you.
I'm listening now & it was a hoot!
We've lost Simon to Czech culture you squeeze the tea bag
I am an American and have a kettle that I use on the stove. The only time I've used an electric kettle was when I was in India.
There's natural gas stoves in the US same as my furnace.. electric ovens are usually done w one outlet in the house wired to 220v specifically for this
44:32 I squeeze teabags but that's just to not have droplets everywhere when I lift it out of the cup.
My mum has the old SkyHD box, that uses a satellite, that are no longer made, and Sky don't want you to have any more, because they're pushing the Internet based SkyQ.
She has the insurance, and believe it or not, after over a decade, that box broke down, and she finally needed to use her set-top-box insurence to get a replacement.
The box she had was so old, that the new one, which was actually somebody else's box that had broken down and been repaired, was a considerable upgrade over her old one.
Also consider that SkyQ, you rent the box, so you get a replacement for free, but SkyHD, You OWN the box, so if it broke, you'd have to buy a new one, but since they don't sell them anymore, the insurance is the only way to get it repaired or replaced.
110v so it is not as effective 🙄. My god, people don’t understand electricity… this is only the case if you plug in a kettle built for 220 power 🙄🙄🙄
54:03 according to Technology Connections and his video on electric kettles, "not as effective" is still "way more effective than the alternatives" (it takes at most a couple minutes more than with european voltage, but way less time that on a stove), not to mention that you do have 240V outlets for high-power electrodomestics.
This should be good, happy birthday fact boi
Proud owner of a gas oven and stove. Had it installed when I bought my house
Happy belated birthday, instead of one day early this one is one day late
another good charity is Doctors Without Borders
I want a membership!!!!
My biggest takeaway from this episode of Simon rants with Liam chiming in, is that Ohio isn't a real place.
I'm old enough to remember when fact boi impulse purchased a zebra sex mask.
How do I get one of the donated memberships? I love this show but I am quite poor.
Oh shit I just clicked on so happy birthday
In the states electric oven/hob are mostly for cheap apartments. Gas stoves are much more effective you can see the heat and change it much faster
Personally do what you want but I don't get it. A lot of people who don't understand how to use an electric stoves or have been sold gas stoves because of advertising imo. Mine heats up quite fast and applies even heat and is easier to clean. If I get to much heat it's easy to move the pot for a second, uncover it, etc. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
In Canada most people have electric stoves and ovens.
@@sevenofzachI've used professional and residential gas stoves. I prefer electric stoves. My dream kitchen will have induction.
I get so annoyed with gas only idiots. Sure have a cook top that's a pain to clean and releases harmful stuff in the air.
37 is the most commonly picked random number in the 1..99 set. 😂
I am 37 Yr old female so totally not the demographic..I just find Simon relatable as also from Kent and also dead mother
I think I had the same reaction to the lack of kettles and gas ovens, but Technology Connections has some very nice videos about it
Those sub notification sounds are so annoying... Otherwise love the streams!
I live in CT in America, and everyone I know has an electric kettle and most people I know have electric stoves, and they're all in houses, not apartments. I have no idea where everyone else is from...
Swinging is my favorite!!!!!!
Wait until you hit 68, Simon! I am going to be 69 in December, and next month, 4:48 I am going to my 50th high school reunion. You aren't old Simon.
Electric kettles on 120V would be less practical since the current would be double for the same power. In practice they would probably be rated at 50-70% of the power so take longer to reach the proper temperature. Unless you have split phase power and connect a british kettle between the phases, but not all US houses have that. Sometimes only 120V single phase or 205V three phase which would also give reduced power on a 240V kettle. Edit: it's brought up in the blaze right after I typed it... Edit 2: I think stoves and boilers often run on 205V three phase, so still not suitable for imported kettles and too small a market for dedicated 205V kettles.
It’s ok .. I’m 50++++ your the same age as my dog, well in dog years😊
Have known for a while, considering how often brings it up, but Simon's only one year younger than me.
I must have a Red Coat Kettle now!
Simon: It's the most American coffee name.
Me: What could that be?
Simon: Black Rifle Coffee
Me: Huh... guess that is very American 😂
Happy birthday
i need a tshirt that says "Only a monster squeezes his teabags"
American that uses electric kettle here. The 115volt kettle is still way faster than a gas stove my dude. I use the Electric kettle all the time. I can make Moka pot espresso hella fast by using one and the taste is waaay nice.
Speaking of 70 people dying, have u done the ramstien air disaster?
Happy birthday Fact Boi
Moving from six squared to a prime number. those are good times :) i remember that. Happy Birthday, Simon!

The american optimism and happiness comes from the same place as the drooling adult man wearing a cape and helmet on the bus.
0:59 Yes, Fact Boy. There's a surcharge to screw w Liam's morals at will. I'm sure you've done a video about that already.-🌴just me in Palm Springs 😂🌴
we have electric kettles. I've had one for 20 years
Black rifle is ok… tastes a bit burnt and I feel like they don’t really know anything about coffee.
Also - I had an electric kettle like 10 years ago…. Lol
26:34 bro we just gonna ignore the dog running into something? It roo thump lol
I'm American, plenty of us use electric kettles, lol. Thought they were pretty bog standard
What's the name of your intro track? That shit's lit 🤘
My birthday was yesterday just turned 38
Just have to say just the Big Mac bun alone 5.8 grams of sugar!! America.... JUST ADD MORE SUGAR.
And I am American whatever that means anymore also worked at McDonald's for two years. At 45 that was eye opening experience and look into what are future generations look like.....Yeah no comment except WOW. We are screwed.
Still get a giggle that Simon uses Liam as a live action Chat GPT 😂
I'm a woman and turning 36 in August.
Theres a great numberphile video on 37 and how it's the most common number people will say when asked to give a random number from 1-99. May make s good video topic for you!
It takes about 60 seconds for my electric kettle to boil. I don't consider that a long time.
Baby bottle microwave sterilisers are brilliant for streaming dim sims and dumplings...haha
My dad was 37 when I was born
I always miss the weekly blaze because it's buried in my sub feed :(
Lol. Nice.
Vessi be trippin laces or no
Gas ovens in the US are much better for the environment than an electric one. Natural gas is cheaper, and much cleaner in terms of emissions than an electric oven. Unless you have a pretty green home already, where your electric is being produced by solar or something in that vein. Not surprising that gas ovens aren't popular in the UK though since there isn't as much being produced compared to the US. I'd imagine it's the same in the EU as well since a lot of that production comes from the Ukraine and that area.
Why get an air fryer when most ovens already have that function built in....and can hold more food...
To save electricity
@TheDopekitty does it actually save electricity if you have to use it multiple times to cook a family meal? Takes longer, essentially using more. Or you could get a convection oven, essentially the same thing by a different name and costs less.
Okay as someone who was AFAB and went through both male and female februation and is in currently in the process of talking a couple [inherited] daughters with growing up...the issue is the bit that's handing down at the front, beyond regard the rest. Your overall curt in this video is a ducktail, but with an unformat "billy goat" feel on the front. And I say this as someone who is looking to make your wife think you look better. Ans comes at it from multiple from perspectives.
Simon's demographic is 18 to 35? I'm 70. WTF am I doing here???
