- You know Sentinel? The robot that gives and probably gave everyone hell in Marvel vs. Capcom 2 and Marvel vs. Capcom 3, respectively?
He first started his history in this game as a playable character before MvC2 finally brought him back. Did you know that his design in these games are exclusive thanks to Capcom?
Sentinel is the closest thing you had in this game to a huge, powerful villain that wasn't Juggernaut. So many of his attacks, even his normal ones, hit really hard, even though he can be kinda slow at times.
Two things I didn't know from Capcom's Marvel fighters beyond this one is that he can charge his Plasma Storm super by pressing buttons, changing it from yellow, to pink, to purple, to dark-purple before unleashing. If you keep pressing buttons after unleashing it, you may shoot more at your opponent depending on how long it's been charged. That said, good luck using the full, maximum power of this move on any competent player.
Another thing I didn't know is that Sentinel has a unique victory animation where the robot will store the fallen mutant in a bubble, and then fly await with it. It only happens twice in this video, but it's pretty cool to see.
--------------
Although the Sentinels count as villains, they are robots that were specifically made to hunt down mutants in X-Men. This didn't just include the X-Men, themselves, but also Magneto and anyone that sided with him, since they still count as mutants with superpowers, too.
In Sentinel's ending, he has just defeated Magneto, who is furious that he just got beaten by a human-made machine. He wants to build a world where mutants rule over humans, so this was not a good situation for him to be in.
Before Sentinel proceeds to capture Magneto, Magneto blows up the Avalon, forcing Sentinel to retreat and return to his base of Genosha with the rejoin his other Sentinel brethren. They then proceed to eliminate any more mutants that they can find. The playable Sentinel then soars through the skies, quickly finding and eliminating Storm with one blow. Then he returns to Genosha, again.
Now, with all of the mutants gone, the Sentinels plan their next mission: DESTROY ALL HUMANS!
Why? If there are no humans, then there can be no more mutants born, developed, or created by them. The Sentinels have already killed all of the mutants, now they just want to make sure no more pop up!
--------------
This is my last playthrough of this game with a normal playable character. If I am to make anymore involving playing as Juggernaut, Magneto, and even... AKUMA! Then I'd have to put in a little more effort to make that possible.
Stay turned for when that happens!

"Target defied as Storm, proceed with Caution."
*bonk*
*augghhHh!*
I thought Sentinels, being robots, would be quite boring. But this Sentinel is actually very well animated and is a joy to watch, and also thanks to your skill to really show off what the Sentinel could do.
Totally.
I like to consider this games sentinels as everyone’s default robot design. They’re just so cool looking!
Don't they have that on that arcade system?🤔
Agreed
I always thought of these colors as the default
Much more mechanical, more hulking, and all-around awesome.
They're the Sentinel Mark V from the New Mutants in #2
I love that air attack with the spiked chancla.
@@Carls493 after 4 years your still replying dedication bro
A spiked chancla. The ultimate weapon for mi madre
This robot has more to him than meets the eye.
I like how it bubbles defeated opponents and carries them away.

Not only did that air attack look awkward, it managed to stun storm IN ONE HIT.
Setting her up for Ass Storm
Well that was a DARK ending
Well is it true that with sentinel's ending does it reference the days of future past comics and maybe the movie itself?
Scott Stephenson AI bit humanity in the ass. Oops😝!
i am not sure if that is referring to the days of future past un less there is A universe of where there are no more mutants around
4:36 it's not suplexing a train, but it's close
3:08 Damn, she got a stun off you!
Hell hath no fury like a woman STORMed!
One the best games ever. Greatness
2:34 is that Master Mould in the background?
Probably...?
R O C K E T P U N C H
Fuck yeah
Thanks for bringing back the hype before it was hype 🕹️❤️👌😎👌❤️🕹️
🔥💯😂😫🥶👍
Two questions: How much does a Sentinel cost? & How long is the manufacturer's warranty?
Sentinels would cost over 100,000 bucks, and the warranty would be... Hm... Let's say a year or so.
@@rebelfleettrooper9881 Yeah, they don't build killer-robots like they used too, only a year warranty!!
@@chrisrobinson3494 Hmm...
"Ass storm"
My God, if Sentinel had some of these moves in MVC2.. missiles, those jumping kicks, and what is that a BODY SPLASH?
I like how the Sentinel doesn't even acknowledge defeated-Magneto's bluster. Just coldly logging it's mission.
Sentinel had some sweet moves. that plasma storm could be charged to 3 blasts , awesome
Whenever sentinel extends his arm I always thought he said “BROCKET ROCKET”
I think the Sentinels seem even more scary after X-Men 97 came out.
Eh? Don't they have this on that arcade system that and along with MARVEL SUPERHEROES?🤔
THESE GAMES ARE LITERALLY MASTERPIECES. NOTHING AS GOOD AS OLD CAPCOM, ALTHOUGH SF6 LOOKS AWESOME ASF.
Thatsentinel body splash scary as hell
ROCKET PUNCH
AWESOME X-MEN : CHILDREN OF THE ATOM 1994 ARCADE - SENTINEL PLAYTROUGH !!!!
"ICE BEAM!" What is this, Pokemon!?
It's customary for a fighting game character to yell out the name of the move, it's an unwritten law
Braystar 😎👌🕹️
Blazin' The Fire Pony MEGA BEAM!
REBEL ASSAULT!
how to tech hit break free and tech hit safe land?
11:32 poor sentinel
Sentinel kidnapping Juggernaut is only possible if you defeat Juggernaut with this robot.
9:13 too bad that ain't Sentinel alloy, eh?
In the animated series a sentinel tells Magneto that they're mostly plastic.
@@SergeantPsycho tech must've been pretty badass, if even plastic can be modified sufficiently into armor
"Get the the Punch" Reminds me of Brocken
You can't attack while you won the battle
You can.
When you won the battle, press the start button. This will let you move around the stage and do some disrespectful harm to your opponent.
You can do it if you win a round always, and if sentinel ends a match with his electro flex you can also do it, just press start. He can't do it if he does the animation where he picks up the enemy in the bubble though
Why is this sentinel different from MvC2 sentinel
The one from mvc2 got nerfed compared to this one
SymbioteNx379 and buffed in mvc3
@Brian Babin only because mvc2 is an unfinished game too many glitches and unused frames with sentinel in that game
I think they had to remove some moves otherwise he would've been TOO broken, he already is in MVC2 lol
@@saado99 They didn't even bring those moves back in MVC3 like those leg blades?
Goddamn how many damage????!!!!!05:35😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱
Buenas maniobras sentinel prime 😊😊😊😊😊😊
How do i charge the plasma storm?
Keep tapping all punch buttons.
Mash to charge it up, let go, then when he starts shooting you mash again to choose how many waves he shoots, he'll lose like 1/3rd of his meter per wave though, which he needs for flying and teching throws
@@terrydavis146 Resume?
Play akuma
Akuma from Street Fighter 2 is in this game?
@@rebelfleettrooper9881 Yeah, he's a secret character
Bruh why is Exodus not playable smh
Delicious.
大人げないロボットだな
nimrod?
For all I love the other Marvel/Capcom games, I do wish we had gotten a full blown sequel to COTA that included all of the X-Men characters featured up to MvC2 (with frames and moves restored) along with some new additions.
