Grew up on a farm where we raised sheep. Agree, the fat in lamb tastes like the lanolin in the wool. It's got to be cooked properly to get rid of the taste.
Joel, the real reason that your ex broke up with you was because he was jealous that you are so gorgeous - but now you are with the gorgeous Keegan, who looks even more gorgeous with his sexy ‘tache 😍😍😍😍
I am totally with Joel with the lamb and with the beef. I used to be the same about mushrooms too until I was briefly vegetarian and my taste buds changed and now I love them.
I fully understand why Joel got dumped. If his reaction was exactly the way he portrays it here, I would have found it to be infantile. One thing is not caring for mushrooms, another is having a dramatic visceral reaction to them. That reaction would have reminded me of the poor emotional regulation of a child. I want an adult.
Joel’s ex? Is that you? No person likes everything. If that’s enough for someone to break up with a person, then there’s more issues in the relationship than just disliking certain foods.
@@masonedwards lol it's not about him not liking mushrooms, but how he reacts to mushrooms. For me it's about emotional regulation, not his disliking the mushrooms precisely.
@@gatinhopretolp clearly it IS about him disliking them though. His ex has got the emotional intelligence of a potato if Joel expressing a dislike of mushrooms was justification to end their relationship.
@@wsconsn I know poor reading comp skills is at an all time high, but what was said was in reference to the reaction of said food, not disliking the food itself. It's HOW you EXPRESS not liking the food, not the simple fact of disliking the food.
Sounds like your ex was too immature for you and didn't give you a real reason for ending your relationship. Some people are just not ready for a relationship, and I find they make excuses for their own short comings. Just a thought.
I also do not eat lamb, I say it taste like lamb wool, probably same as you Joel it tastes like lamb smell, yuck!! I did eat lamb in Scotland and it was delicious.
Thought it best that I unsubscribe from the channels you are associated with after your recent response to a minor criticism about your American Grammar -v- British Grammar. English degree here, and things offend me as our language is being corrupted, not "evolving". Have a great life Joel. There is no ill-will on my part. Enjoyed this. I agree Keegan I love lamb!!
I”d dump him - he’s all “it’s about me”

Joel you need to taste a well roasted leg of lamb. If you know how to prepare it you don’t get the “sheepy” flavor.
Because he's annoying as hell.
Mushroom(Unami) and Cilantro actually have genetic components as to taste.
I love beef but I can not bring myself to eat lamb or mushrooms. I am a very picky eater.
I’m with you on the lamb, Joel.
I used to do that...change the phone of friends into Turkish... until someone changed mine into Thai...
I think it was more than mushrooms Joel.
I am totally with Joel with the lamb and with the beef.

big dudes hung up on the lamb
Love your podcast. Re: the issue at hand: Seems a case of taking yourself to task for someone's inability to meet you in love.
Sounds like you’re better off without him.

You got dumped for something else 😂
Could not agree more, lamb might as well be alive on your plate it's so nasty. BUT BEEF???????

I’m not a fan of steak or red meat either! 😝
Joel just quit being a ninny

Not liking lamb, beef or mushrooms is definitely a deal breaker for me, as well. I'm with your ex on this. LOL

Lamb is disgusting flavor. You are totally right Joel. Yuck
Dumbest podcast ever…
Yes, and these two have put out some fierce competition.
