Moonriver 404 is the best sounding amp in this test. I am very impressed. A clear winner. It has the strongest bass by far and the most live and transparent sound, like you are there in the live event!!!!

All the amps were great. The real determining factor will be tastes and preferences.

1. Rogers (Expansive, detailed, holographic, smooth, the best sounding here.)
2. Moonriver (Number two if you can tame the brighter and thinner sounding upper midrange (sibilance). Good detail, music springs to life)
3. Eggshell (if you have sensitive loudspeakers. Not as exuberant sounding as one and two but more involving than four and five)
4. Electrocompaniet (Very smooth and balanced sound but a bit subdued compared to the top three)
5. Sugden ( I know it is great amp but in this system with this song it seems outclassed by the other amplifiers here)

Thank you for sharing, very interesting. To my hear and with these speakers, the Eggshell and the Sugden are producing music. The Moonriver seems to me "too much hifi" style. Thank's again 😊
