She had an amazingly pleasant way of demonsrating the Mac. Fit perfectly with the image they were portraying back then.
I like how she calls the computer Mac like it's a person.
Susan designed the icons for the Mac system software. She gave the Mac much of its personality through her artistic style incorporated into the icons. I loved these early Mac years. Started using Macs in 6th grade in 1993.
She has such a soothing presentation style, I was a Mac user in the 90’s and so much of what Susan and the original Macintosh team was around till 1998.
Susan created so many UI elements and standards that are still used today. :-)
i was born in 97, and as an iOS developer i cant explain my feelings to that video lol. This looks like i explain how a pc works to my mom
Isn't it funny how System Preferences and Notepad have stuck around these 30+ years??
This video is completely relaxing.
What an artist even in presentation.
Seeing this in 2020 feels so futuristic
I could go to sleep while listening to her voice. That is a total compliment.
I love how I feel like I could boot this computer up and know exactly how to use it. It honestly looks like modern Macs
A hallmark of great design
No, modern macs looks like something from the 80es
@@KimSchulz No, but many of the design elements here are still present in macOS today. Menu bar, icons, trashcan, freeform movement.
She's so calm....I would be freaking out if I had to go to a TV show to speak about anything....😆🤣
unintentional ASMR
This Mac thing might just catch on.
I'm going to put this on my ipod to help me sleep. Sooooo calming.
Any one of us could grab that mouse and know what to do. But this was all brand new stuff back in 1984!!!
Wow...I used to watch Computer Chronicles....
This video is awesome!
She should do the Apple key notes
Reminds me of my elementary school days in the late 80s and early 90s
She is legendary.
Nerd ASMR at its best!
it was more of a working concept ahead of its time than a useful tool for your daily tasks. The women's voice has a relaxing effect, I'd hire her immediately just for her calming effect on co workers.
Asmr 36 years before asmr
UA-cam Gold
still today for me is the pinnacole od design and ux
Nice! Simpler times....
Looking at this lady is like looking at an exact blending of Pam and Jim from The Office
From a time when a salt timer was an hourglass
She is so smart, nifty and beautiful ❤️
they had NO idea, of what was to come near Future........Damn.................
You can buy a vintage working Lisa Mac now for about 2-4k still nowhere near the original $9,995.00 in 1984 when this video was made!
Remember to feed the lizards
All stolen from Xerox
Xerox did not give a shit of the goldmine they had in their hands.
Xerox had no idea what they had or how to bring it to market. The tech was too good to languish unseen and naturally found its way into the hands of a better, more deserving company.
@@Isoquant the hardest part is fully developing it and marketing it TBH. There's lots of good tech and inventions around doesn't mean anything if you can make a fully developed product get people buying it
True, but they weren't gonna do anything with it. Xerox squandered trillions of dollars worth of ideas at this point.
@@rc4652 It always makes me laugh when I remember Xerox threw away literally trillions of dollars in order to protect their copying business lol
