One thing that's amazed me about Corey Taylor for like basically ever is he manages to scream yet you still understand and feel every single word he says.
This was exactly my first impression of Corey as a vocalist upon listening to their first album when it was once upon a time their only album. I was blown away at his ability to scream with the level of power that he does and still clearly enunciate his words. He's not just barking into the mic like a lot of other screaming or growling metal vocalists; rather, he's screaming because he has something to say.

Hes not the only one to do that though, I’ll give Credit due to Corey since he did this in the end of 90s but You have to mention In This moment Maria Brink whos one of the goddess of metal and still does this which even before Slipknot was made, Another example is the new up and coming Poppy whos more alternative then anything but in a lot of her more screaming music like spit or scary mask You can clearly hear what she says even if shes giving her most raw vocals which dare I say as a metal head is even stronger then Corey, its almost as raw as the former lead singer of Arch enemy.
My dude, check out Tatiana Shmayluk from Jinjer. Clean diction, epic screams. Capable of going back and forth between clean and harsh vocals. 🤟

There's meaning behind it. From what I know those bodies they are cutting into are the band. In the death march video we see their heads being blown up and clearly this is a prequel to that as it seems like they are taking their brains out to put the bombs in. There's a story but it's just very cryptic.

Been following these guys religiously my whole life. mom and dad were at their debut show at ozzfest 99. Parents saw them again in tattoo the earth 2000 while mom was pregnant with me. I have been obsessed with these guys and this kind of music my entire life. Obviously even someone who's faith in this band will never fade, that does not mean i don't criticise what i love. But the lyrics at the end of this song actually made me cry when i first heard it. "Look down there's a river around you, swim hard for the other side. Don't drown to spite your critics, just blow a kiss goodbye" ya.. through everything these guys have gone through. They have always remained 100% true to what slipknot is and always put 100% into the shows since day 1. I've known for some time now that the end is near. The biggest problem corey has with touring is his knees giving out. He recently had a knee injury... This tells me we may actually be saying goodbye sooner than we think. I do not care where this show takes place. I WILL BE AT THE LAST SLIPKNOT CONCERT! Just like my parents were at the very first.

Sliipknot suffer from the curse of the fact their first 2 main label releases were absolute classics and will never be topped. The band has turned into the very thing they were against in the days of Paul and Joey. Slipknot and their fan base is the modern day Kiss and Kiss army. I doubt these days slipknot fans even know what that is

Time wasted just to find myself where I always was. The effort, wasted. Instead of looking for a deeper meaning and to gain understanding of this life, I will only search within. If anything, I have come to find accepting what is and remove myself entirely. What is there to gain by participating? To be tired, stressed, burnt out, misunderstood, and drained? What once inspired people to express themselves without hesitation or worrying if they're right or wrong has morphed into avoiding it all together. I tried to understand what you are saying. It isn't like I can read minds or even choose to if I could.
My music, lyrics, and poetry was never meant to be perfect, to have one meaning or view, to be right or wrong, understood completely, or anything other than expressing myself in some way, to see where I needed to improve, learning what works and doesn't, to hear what I liked lyrically and what I didn't like, to allow others opinions and interpretations to be welcome, constructive criticism, to make jokes without any hard feelings or resentment (I like jokes, especially if it's directed to me), accepting my flaws and accepting others flaws, to encourage others to learn how things work on their own with excitement and wonder. Does it matter? Not really.
At the end of it all, I can say is I am grateful to have the ability to learn something beneficial about myself, music, art, others, mistakes, how to forgive and easily let go when most people wouldn't, better ways of understanding myself and the world we live in. To name a few. Have I been wrong? Yeah. Who hasn't? If you only focus on if you're right or wrong you may miss the most important part of being wrong. You can't be corrected if you're too afraid to be wrong. Whether you are right and Felix is wrong never mattered. What mattered was the error being corrected so accurate knowledge may expand to those who may need it. Which means being receptive when it matters. I never really took what was said too seriously because you don't know me at all. I don't even know you guys at all.
I don't really have anything left to give. If I play music, it's just for God and Jesus. They understand my heart and encourage me to play them music. In fact, they guide me. Sometimes I make a song and only get the deeper meaning long after it's finished. Sometimes I just write what comes to me and see where it takes me. After trying to decipher the real meaning of things, without anyone to guide me has left me exhausted. I appreciate the art, the effort put in, hidden wisdom, fearless expression, never ending evolution, the long trips on the road, sacrificing important things just to make music for your fans, enduring hardships, respecting veterans, the amount of thought that was put into things most people ignore, speaking your honest thoughts, and much more. There's nothing else like it.
I apologize if there is more to come but I just don't have it in me anymore to go further. Make fun of me, belittle me, say my name as much as you want, say you'll kill me, kill me, whatever you decide. May the best still be yet to come for you. But, this is where we depart. God be with you.

I've listened to them since 1999 when self titled dropped and the longer they go, the further from the Slipknot I loved they get. But like an abusive relationship, I always look at their updates and stalk them a bit waiting excitedly to come back thinking they have changed and then they let me down again.
I agree. They’ve been less and less interesting the longer they go. I couldn’t even listen to the last two albums, honestly. It seems we’re in the minority, but I liked the early stuff best as well.
