Black Americans who can trace their lineage to a very unique and peculiar institution have every right to want standards. Though we are one, the truth is there is a cultural difference be South Africans and West Africans, and over 90% of African Americans/Caribbean's are West Africans, particularly Nigerians. Notice how in general African Americans have Nigeria’s back in most cases on social media, one and the same people.
I know people don’t like to hear the truth but I definitely noticed this cultural difference. Nigerians have been jumping on the hate train enthusiastically for some reason.
West Africans are "particularly" Nigerians? Lol 🤦🏾♂️😂😂😂Nigerians really are like Americans they think the whole of Africa revolves around them as if there aren't ither countries Nigeria is a small fraction of west Africa. 😂😂 What about Ghanaian's, Ivorians, Senegalese? Gtfoh

Tyla has to watch her attitude, I saw it last year with the minister of sport at that time. We have to tell the truth cause the industry will erase her.
The thing is have you ever seen Americans in general as they go about their business the world over? They look down on us Africans and say we jabe to "humble" ourselves but if it was a white artist this wouldn't be news. The conclusion is that we as Africans need to "humble" ourselves under them. Tyla is just confident and klaa going uo there she was so polite and didn't mean any malice
@@isaaccpt6643 I get your point but let's not paint all african Americans with the same brush. There are good people and bad people everywhere, even in South Africa and all other African countries, we have people who think they are better than other Africans but not everyone is like that. Halle and Lil Nas X were clearly happy for her on stage and were definitely not disrespecting her. If those two were white, she would have not acted that way.
Tyla is a baby in this industry, i think is the excitement that is annoying the big shots because they know if she carry-on like this she is not gonna make it far.
They be hating on my sister for not wanting an arm workout on stage. In other news - the pentatonic scale is straight from Africa. American Blues = Afrobeat; American Jazz = new school Afrobeat; Neo Soul = Afrobeat; any genre we create = Afrobeat (unless Afrobeat doesn't mean 'pulse of blackness'). Can you imagine how old the beats are that are used in HipHop today? We have been playing those beats for hundreds of thousands of years.

Every country have standards...black americans have standards....south africa have standards...dnt expect south african ways to get u everything in America
Unfortunately colorism is a real problem here in the states. And I think Tyla gets so much hate bc she's light skinned and is what would be considered here in the states as "mixed" Darker skinned females especially hate alot on lighter skinned females bc in America lighter skin is seen as more beautiful and/or closer to white. It's a very unfortunate situation. Black is beautiful. Light or dark skin. Hopefully in time the way black people feel about themselves will change bc the situation w/Tyla is nothing but a SELF hate/jealousy issue.
She is humble and all that and yes girls she a stunner be happy or dont please watch her vids lol you know for sure that for sure you be wana have a dam peep at ber lol she. Unstoppable
Tyla is talented, no doubt about that. The problem started when she accepted a BET award yet she clearly stated over and over that she doesn’t identify as black. BET award is meant for black people. The problem is that in America mixed race is viewed as black but Tyla doesn’t identify as that.
The award thing is because of the tension between black immigrants and other immigrants of color v African Americans / American descendants of chattel slavery. The concert thing idk anything about but I’ll never judge a woman for maintaining healthy boundaries when she feels it’s needed.
The way I'm so unbothered by all of this. Sis made her bed, now she must lie in it. Isn't it amazing that the green and white nation are also on the hate bandwagon, but it's SAns that are bullies. 😮💀
I don't understand the hate either. I think her confidence and innate pride rubs some the wrong way and, it could very well be an American thing. I remember it being particularly hard cultivating relationship with other girls in school simply because of I how I carried myself and I'm American. Nonetheless, I love the art and creativity coming out of South Africa and Africa as a whole.
I think this is where having multiple centres of power and influence would be beneficial. Africa should be a centre for music and arts and many other things. The fact that tyla, a South African artist has to leave the continent to make it is unfortunate. Not to mention having to go to the US. I read a comment talking about the UK and you know what? The UK used to be important when it came to music but now even South Korea has more clout and they are benefiting their people with a boomerang effect on other Asians. Not to mention Japan with Anime and China with various tech and development. Those countries also have their very own unique cultures. So in a way I gotta currently respect France. At least they want to make their own entertainment and music. Yes, they sometimes dabble in Anglo media or let's be honest American media (cus UK, Australia, New Zealand and Canada aint doing ish) but France has got their own ball which they play. Its quite frankly embarrasing to see citizens of other countries have to essentially beg the US for shine. Anyway, shout out Aya Nakumura. So other countries should emphasise their own industries and maybe try building spheres of influence outside of the US.
They are jealous, they r jealous. It couldn't possibly be something else like inexperienced and overly😅 confident. @TheeMsutu Exactly why I said you people are original mumu. Chidinma, a native of Africa, was born and bred in South Africa too, so, your point is absolutely empty and lacks reasoning. It's people should be putting a hell of a fight to wanna develop so people don't have to leave for foreign lands for attention/money/education etc. Its sad that this is the state that someone like Tyla or burna boy or whomever have to leave for money or fame reasons when Africa has the youngest population and a hell of a lot of minerals.

You got that right. I'm Coloured South African. Kullit is not a derogatory word here as it is in the USA. We don't deny our part black African racial construct. Nor do we deny our European and Asian part. Are we supposed to leave out our substantial Malay DNA just because it offends the so called African Americans? Sorry, we are not a part of the USA and their norms aren't ours.

No offense or anything but pls what's your point????
West Africans are "particularly" Nigerians? Lol 🤦🏾♂️😂😂😂Nigerians really are like Americans they think the whole of Africa revolves around them as if there aren't ither countries Nigeria is a small fraction of west Africa. 😂😂 What about Ghanaian's, Ivorians, Senegalese? Gtfoh
@@Queen-bj2wzI've notice what the commentator has said for years now.. They meant Nigerians and most Black Americans have rhe same personalities, same (egos) because Black American ancestors were mostly taken from West Africa mainly Nigeria and Ghana.. But Ghanaians aren't so on that ego trip but Nigerians are very much so...Lol. A Nigerians can spend 5mins in the US and have that same accent where as a black South African still have his own accent with here and there US maybe .. Black Americans and Nigerians are really similar in certain ways
Africa is not all "one".
Congratulations 🎈🎈🎈 to Tyler ❤❤❤

And she even said sorry(for making him carry the award) after she said please and thank you to Lil Nas X, so what more do people want. I hope Tyla has a thick skin and a 'who gives a f**k' attitude because it seems this is going to happen her whole career. Banyise Tyla!!

Riri has never acknowledged her, she only acknowledges nigerian artists like ayra starr and tems. Why is that?

God be with you my sister, it's like you have the conversation alone and give your million dollar opinion but you already convinced us😂
Tyla has to watch her attitude, I saw it last year with the minister of sport at that time. We have to tell the truth cause the industry will erase her.
I remember that clip.....also their working overtime to make sure they erase her
that same government that never supported her than wants to harp on the accomplishment.

Oh they are very ignorant my dear… abazi lutho ngamuntu and they don’t care too much
They be hating on my sister for not wanting an arm workout on stage.
All I’m seeing is an upcoming collaboration🥳🥳🥳🥳
Joe Budden is a joke ...I wouldn't call him a one hit wonder ..he also had a hit focus..which is one of my favorites tracks by him and few more ..by the way I'm no fan of him

Tyla❤
Tyla has class unlike Colorist B 😂
If lil Naz wasn't gay he would have been gentle enough to react quicker and would have sorted this out

Wow Cardi B respect❤ well Tyla is very over confident.....
Tyla is talented, no doubt about that. The problem started when she accepted a BET award yet she clearly stated over and over that she doesn’t identify as black.
BET award is meant for black people.
The problem is that in America mixed race is viewed as black but Tyla doesn’t identify as that.

Why Is This MAN Interfering?
Jealousy makes u nasty
Its burna boy's people complaining. its Tyler's time now
I think this is where having multiple centres of power and influence would be beneficial.
The music industry set her up, gave her an award she didn't want, gave her a heavy award and where is the podium shes supposedto put it on. She needs to bring the help next time she receives an award. Yall don't know America. They will build u up just to set u up.

Oh I don't understand this people they are jealous like she ask lil Nas and even say sorry to him .
Tyla came out to confirm that she had no bad blood against Hailey and Hailey also cleared out the rumours by sayin there's no biggies. @TheeMsutu Exactly why I said you people are original mumu. Chidinma, a native of Africa, was born and bred in South Africa too, so, your point is absolutely empty and lacks reasoning. And concerning your almighty rainbow nation, where have you seen a thief (that invaded a home, massacred, stole everything from the rightful owners, settled in the house by force, and refuses to return or share the stolen things equally with the real owners) being referred to as a rainbow family or even family? You call yourself rainbow nation, yet, the minority 7% colonizers, own over 80% of your land and controls 90% of your economy. You guys really need to wake because the mumu in you guys are on steroid 😂
