Such a great video! I just became a flight attendant and I’ll be working reserve for my first month. It was great to visually see it and truly helped me!
Thankful for the Southwest flight attendants on each flight I’ve had as a disabled passenger. They are always so nice, especially when I don’t look like I need pre boarding, etc.
Hey Jill, I'm loving watching your life as a flight attendant. It's very interesting. I think it would have been great for me when I was younger and didn't have any ties. Would have been a fun way to live.
I love your blogs. I'm so happy for you Jill for your job, that's so exciting how you get to travel to different places. You are amazing. Bless you and your family 💗
Hi Jill, Just subscribed and enjoyed ur video! Looking forward to ur future layovers and I hope to meet u some day when i visit my niece in Minnesota!✈☺ I love ur airline. 💙❤🧡
What made me happy today was that I finally got my Botox for my migraines I was 3 weeks behind & was so sick till I got them. My neck & head was hurting me so bad. Now I'm back on track with my Botox. My next appt. Is on May 2. Jill I have the same problem like u with dry skin. But my arms bleed easily when I hit something & I showed it to my skin Dr. They called it bruised. My hands & face gets dry in the winter time.
@@tammy4179 when I was on botox for migraines. I booked my appointments a year in advance. I used aimovig for a year or two. My migraines gave me a 60th birthday present. They went away. Haven't had a migraine in almost 5 years! Knock on wood. I don't want them ever again.
Curious how you are paid! Not how much, just how. Are you paid per flight, per day on reserve or a flat salary? If you don’t get used are you still paid?!
would you film a whole adventure as a flight attendtant? like all 3 days of flying what its like, what you do on your spare ( a longer video few days in your life type thing)
I do have a question. When you have to go and stay in hotels while you're flying, does the airline pay for your hotel rooms or do you have to pay for all of your expenses?
I would be upset if my coat never made it back. Is there a way to sew a tag with your name or employee number on the inside of your coat for when/if this happens again?
Interested to see how reserve works when you are a commuter. I figured out you live in Florida but you were in Baltimore. So are you based in Baltimore? Do you have a crash pad?
Jill, bought those same smiley face ice packs on Amazon because of this video! I used them as stocking stuffers for my family. Also, my "it's a great day to excell" mug will be used as my morning motivation for a really promising job I just started. Sending lots of love from Oklahoma ❤
If you're at all able to answer my question on FB, as I don't follow you elsewhere. When you're three Reserve days don't equate to your guaranteed hours do they just make up the balance? Thanks
It is a lot of work and the pay isn’t great. But the benefits are amazing and if you stay in long enough, the pay increases exponentially. We are paid by a calculation that loosely relates to hourly.
Most FAs start between 25 and 35 dollars per flight or block hour. You only get paid at most airlines when the plane is moving. Some pay you a fraction of your salary while boarding but most don't. No airline pays for sits between flights. You make between $2 and $3 per hour perdiem when you're on a trip. Bottom line is regional FA pay starts in the mid $20s for those who work a full schedule. Mainlines start around $35k. But pay goes up over time, maxing out after 10 to 20 years. It's not a high paying job.
Hi! So happy to have found your UA-cam channel! I’m a mom with some grown children and still some underage but considering for quite a while to be a flight attendant. I really would love to work for your airline but I know they’re not hiring right now. My biggest question since you are probably somewhere in middle age like myself is how do u manage something like this being newer? And do you deal well with being too tired or are u able to keep your energy up? Just wondering! And loved this video! U got a new subscriber
Hi Amy! Welcome aboard ❤️ Age is seriously just a number at Southwest. I am 53 and was among the oldest but definitely were about 5-10 people older than me in my class. The age range among FA’s is wide and everyone works together so well!! It is tiring but I LOVE the work and as long as you are diligent about time management and getting sleep, you’ll be great!! I can’t wait to learn about your journey!!
I could sit at home for 5hrs and do nothing so easily but the thought of sitting at the airport for 5hrs and doing nothing is horrifying 😆🙈 I'd be thinking about all the other things I could be doing instead... Not the job for me... Although its pretty cool they pay you for that 🤷🏽♀️
A skein of sock yarn and a pair of socks on the needles. Would keep me busy for ages. So I'd be able to do a long wait with out getting impatient. Unless my project needed to go in time out.
I love that you bring us along on your new adventure Jill!! Its always fun seeing all the places you go!!
Thanks for coming along!!
U guys should do a Brennan, Katie and Ryan day in the life video!
Jill your flight life , and mishaps , such as your coat ,and hurrying up ,and waiting ,are similar to Donnelly time life ! 🤗👍👟👢
Same girl, same habits 😂

Loved seeing the old house again and seeing how this all works! ❤
I love this new era for Jill.
Thankful for the Southwest flight attendants on each flight I’ve had as a disabled passenger. They are always so nice, especially when I don’t look like I need pre boarding, etc.
This is such an eye opener on the prep for flying-Enjoy the adventures!
It’s The Donnellys’s videos make me smile 😊

Hope you are feeling better!! I have started to drink lots more water- that has helped too!

Hi CoHeart! I hope to meet you inflight someday, great video 💙❤💛
Hope your flight attendant work is doing well Jill. I did had a chill day just to work on gaming videos but also some UA-cam videos self employed.
Congratulations on your new job

Love this vlog. Glad you shared.

Love these videos! Have you had a passenger recognize you on a flight yet?
You look beautiful and doing amazing work and love your videos❤
I love too see you in the air.
i just love the vids keep them coming
Jill I would love to know what are some of your favorite airports that you have been to so far.
Do u always live in this house? Do u still have the Florida house? Do u guys ever go there
I do have a question. When you have to go and stay in hotels while you're flying, does the airline pay for your hotel rooms or do you have to pay for all of your expenses?
Enjoyed this
Awesome video I really like it lot it was cool and you made awesome videos you are my favorite UA-cam channel and you are best UA-cam channel
Phew, props to flight attendants. I’m sure type A and need structure and routine or else I get anxiety. I couldn’t do it 😂 ❤
I would be upset if my coat never made it back. Is there a way to sew a tag with your name or employee number on the inside of your coat for when/if this happens again?
Is there anyway you could link your carryon backpack?
Hope you all get a good contract soon Jill.
Interested to see how reserve works when you are a commuter. I figured out you live in Florida but you were in Baltimore. So are you based in Baltimore? Do you have a crash pad?
What is your workout routine?
Ps J ill ,don t ever lose track of your watch, that would be a real bummer ! 😕😐
You said you have to pay for parking. Do they reimburse you for that cost? We ebjoy y'alls VLOGs! ❤

As a new flight attendant were you able to stay in your home town as your base?
Hey Jill.. do u get paid when u are waiting at the airport to get called? Or only when you are actually flying.. thanks and keep up the good work!
Only when flying I believe.... Sit times, Delays, NO...
If you're at all able to answer my question on FB, as I don't follow you elsewhere. When you're three Reserve days don't equate to your guaranteed hours do they just make up the balance? Thanks
Yes they do!
Dumb question- but does your airline allow boots? Is it just your company? Thx
Appletag your coat for uniform items or bags that you can forget.
Curious if you are waiting at the airport for the 5 hours and they don't call you do you still get paid or only get paid when your actually flying.
Yes, they get paid. The hope for reserve is to not get called and stay at home and get paid.
Hey haven't commented in a long time, been out of the country for over a year. Hi Donnellys remember NIck Stenbol
What if you are sent to some place extremely cold like North Dakota? You will need a heavy coat.
If your flights were 1 hour each you were paid 2 hours for all day at work?
SMILE
Hi, can u please share where ur backpack is from? Thank you
Yes! It’s Stella and Dot from several years ago- I hope they still have it?!?
For your bag with your apron what brand is it?
It is Stella and Dot from like 10 years ago ☺️
Do you carry on your lounge? Your laptop is not in a case😮
YEAH COAT !!!!
If it's not too much to ask, how are you paid and how much per hour? It seems like a lot of work for what google says is your salary!
Yes that too much to ask😊

Do you get paid for being on call or being on reserve?
Yes! There is a guaranteed minimum when you are on reserve. If you fly and go over that, you get paid the minimum plus whatever you went over :)
Awesome thank you so much for this info!! 😊
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
make a spa day video
Keep your hands on the wheel. What is the matter with you?
❤❤❤

I think i would just have that bag permanently packed and maybe change it up now and then.
