I’m not one of your haters Todd. I enjoy all of your videos and wish you the very best! Have a wonderful 2025, and go White Sox!
@@robertwilken9542 thanks man
Its a good idea to have a veteran fielder.
I have liked some things about Getz so far including but not limited too…
1. Catching up to speed on 21st century baseball like analytics, nutrition, player development, hiring outside voices, etc
2. The type of players he’s signing, upgrading depth in the farm system (pitcher or hitter).
3. No Kenny Williams in his shoe, taking advantage(s) from the pros of being a “single voice”.
@@aidenawe9359 I get what you are saying. But let's not forget Kenny was sent to the farm like GETZ and came up to lead the organization. But let's give credit where credit is due. Kenny did bring Chicago a World Series Championship. Even though he got his head way over sized
@@rolandomedina9773Kenny did more bad than good for in his long tenure. The 2005 World Series was one of the few good things he did.
Good podcast, I enjoy listen to you, keep up with the good work Todd!
@@arojaaspmf appreciate it
Solid pickup imo
Probably not, Rojas is just upgraded Nicky Lopez. White Sox aren’t lacking in INF prospects, but you can never have too much depth at the end of the day. I’m not upset that Getz continues to add vets on 1 year or MILB deals.
Good pickup and like you pointed out it's a one year deal
I loved that you addressed the Trevor Bauer thing, I’m tired of people complaining about him not being signed. The guy is a jerk and he does not need to be in Major league baseball. Let’s move on lol
Would you dump Ty Cobb who was a total a-hole? Or would you embrace his hitting and the aggressive way he played while trying to keep him from going bad? Many people who have plyed baseball have been jerks just like many of the pseudo-actors of Hollywood. But I bet you go to see the likes of Harrison Ford, Will Smith and Rachel Zegler......
Like i have said when people complain about GETZ. I keep saying he not alone Barfield is in the same car riding shotgun
Barfield came from the dbacks, who was very successful in player development.
@aidenawe9359 reason I said GETZ not alone as fans may think. And I have said this rebuild is a lot different.
@@rolandomedina9773^this. I won’t be surprised if Getz has a more successful tenure as GM than Hahn
@@aidenawe9359 one thing is certain they will be in a good place as this new CBA battle will come.
Cause players will be on that development projection. So yeah we will start to see things come to light as time passes.
But the difference between GETZ and HAHN is that Kenny was above HAHN.
GETZ is not only GM but vice president of the organization. Who brought in Brian Mahler? GETZ or Tony or Reinsdorf?
@@rolandomedina9773Getz is the “single voice” not the President of baseball operations. He and Hahn was handcuffed by KW, read the article that hoses JR completely back on Sept 19th. I think Brian Mahler is a Getz hire.
I just hope these young guys realize this is their shot to go big in an organization like this at this time. Yes all new coaching is available but the players have to want it too
Exactly right. Its a golden opportunity for a young player to show what he’s got!
White Sox were lacking vets coming into the off-season, some I’m not upset that Getz continues to add depth. You can never have too much depth at the end of the day. At least he finally addresses something in offense which is a low bar.
I like the move a veteran player that can play the infield good sign hopefully Chris will bring more to the team
@@maverick1956hk that is the problem. They have gotten opportunities.
Even when Pedro first got hired.
Players were playing in the WBC and kids were brought up to cover as they were gone
Didn't do anything.
The neXT year the same. Pedro had a lot of people at spring Training. GETZ had a responsibility when he was in the farm as well. How that farm now does is a lot of moving pieces that will have to get dirty and given credit to.
As a Mariners fan I think while Rojas is obviously not an all star I think he is a solid all around player albeit more for depth.
I hope he does well except against the Mariners lol.
@@mrsticky005 that’s the way to fan when a player leaves your team. Unless the player was a jerk, wish them well except when they play your team.
Appreciate your comment, come back any time and long live Ichiro and Ken Griffey Jr
Andrew Vaughn better get let go if he starts at .150
