Otis Series 1 Traction elevator @ Sterling Berkeley Collection - Allston - Berkeley, CA

I always love coming across a Traction Series one, as they aren’t too common around here, so this was a nice treat. This thing has recently a lot of abuse over the years, probably mostly coming from all the collage students that live here, but despite not being cosmetically nice, it’s holding up well. It flys up and down the building extremely fast, although this is the only elevator for this huge place so it’s quite busy all the time, and it runs extremely well. All the other Sterling Collection Buildings have Hydros, so this one is a bit unique. Videos for the other properties will come around eventually, but they’re definitely a lot less interesting.
