@@anti-socialcustoms8441 Hey thanks to your helpful video I was able to wrap up my first custom figure finally after about 2 & half weeks of working on it my first mistake was using a gloss black paint so I had to start over...just wanted to say thanks again. If you get time please check out the video I just posted of my custom Lady Deadpool. It would mean a great deal to me just to have another opinion and greatly appreciated. Thanks again & have a great Easter Weekend 👍👍
For those wondering about spray paint, I once used Rust-Oleum Universal Metallic Paint & Primer In One Dark Steel (contains glitter for that textured look) on an M.S.G. Modeling Support Goods Beast Sword. Just a few light passes and it looked really good, after drying it adhered so well to the plastic to the point that I didn’t see the need to use sealer. Sorry for not providing photos ‘cuz I wasn’t happy with the sword so I gave it away. Check out UA-cam videos showing its use on variety of surfaces.
I have a question, I have noticed that the Todd McFarlane figures that I have bought if they rub on each other they stain each other if I get modge podge will that help stop that?
What would be better as a sealer I’m making custom shoes for my Jey uso fig and I’m using a plain white apple barrel and wanna seal it in would it better to use mod podge clear sealer or rust oleum clear matte
For that type of paint it would be better to use the Rust-Oleum matte sealer. Only because it will completely lock it in but don't spray so close to the shoes because they will turn yellow....do 2 coats of it about 12 inches away from the shoes.
Woop Woop, excited to see if the umbrella does lead to a Marty. This video helped me a bit more with sealing, I probably should give mine a more through coating like you do, I tend to blast some bits and barely get some on others. Hopefully I'll get close to your level bro cause you're customs are God level, as In Kenny Omega level!
Is krylon matte finish a good idea to use for plastic or should I use a different spray? because I don't want my project to be too shiny I just want to protect my paint.
Would using a matte finish on a figure painted with gloss paint give it a matte or semi-gloss look (or should I just paint it with flate/matte paints as well?)
Hi, I'm painting a Wolverine Marvel Legends figure but only parts of his costume (gloves, tights, boots). Therefore spraying the entire figure isn't necessary. I want to make sure the ankle joints especially don't rub off. Would I need the same clear coat but apply with a brush?
Quick question because I got the matte sealer but I wanna know if I should wait until it's warmer outside (70°) or if I can use it when it's colder outside
I have modpodge but the problem is the paint still keeps coming off after I seal it idk how to make it stay sealed where I don't have to keep repainting it
once the video poped up on my notifacations i said yes love ur vids even when i dont realy like ur vids i dont dislike the video becuse u don deserve it man. Keep up the great work!!! + 2 vid in one day #TooSweet
lol you're hilarious bro , really enjoyed this helpful video
I use satin. It's a happy medium. Just enough shine....IMHO. Great Vid. God Bless
Same. Gloss is too shiny. Matte is too flat. Satin is that perfect balance 👍🏽
This was extremely helpful for me I am currently working on my first custom having problems with sealer and paint....thank you very much💯
No problem bro..glad I could help!

Is there a way around that weird gritty sandpaper feel that the matte paint leaves on the figures?
Have you ever tried spray paints on figures and if so, how did they hold up? Any brand recommendations? Thanks!

Is there a white mat color, and will the paint rub off.
I made a Jeff Hardy Today I went and got sealer i got Mod Podge and I love using sealer it saved my customs from chipping witch is always good

What should I do if I have sealant built up in a place I don’t want it
(A transformers shoulder for example)
“I barely speak English so I don’t understand other words that aren’t that”
What?? LOL

Thanks for the tip on what sealers to use. I used a sealer on one of my customs a few years ago and it made the plastic tacky.

Just curious, why doesn't it work on metallic paints?
Not enough light can come through to reflect back any of the metallic color's shine.
What paint do you use?
Jack Gallagher. But anyway, how's Nash's AJ custom going
Man this audio is awesome thank you for the info 💪🔥
