Super Beatle is killer!!! Trem and verb sound great and the drive is SICK! Great playing as always. The perfect attitude and feel to showcase the gear I love the most. Hell yes!!!👊
I’ve had the MSB25 for over a year and I love it. Gigged with it and it killed it. I have an 8ohm 2x12 cab that I hook it up to and it sounds soooo good. In the process of getting a 2x10 4ohm cab made for it to take advantage of all 50 watts and the small foot print
@@TheToneLounge wow I’m late on the reply. Not actually I roll the volume back on the guitar for clean tones. The on board reverb sounds great to me. I’ll occasionally plug up a mini tube screamer, but that’s rare.
To me, the AC15 sounds better in every way. But the Super Beetle should be considered with its design as well. It could live in your living room and not look as out of place like your average guitar setup. And for that, I really appreciate it. Especially if you run the gain on clean/edge of breakup. It can be your only amp+cab at home and be happy with it.
If I was gonna have 2 amps ,I think 2 of the mini superbeatle would be the ones, I'd have one set to the clean sound I like, and the other the dirty, with a steel string plugged into both,399.99 for the mini at zsounds
I'd like to find a broken/non working SB Head and use it for a pedal board ' fix it to where I can take the front off and use the back for a small pedal board.
If I got this superbeetle amp I would want a DI out, Effects Loop and option for extension cab I am all for this style of amp but can't justify the price for a home only option.
Too pricey for a solid state amp. I would spare another 150€ to get a s/h AC15 to have the vox sound. U still have the pathfinder 15? Perhaps that would be a nice addition to the test drive.
A simple bright cap mod will transform the ac15 for bedroom level playing (the cap only works at lower volumes so you wont need to if diming the amp at gig levels). I did it to mine. You can snip it out (just 2 caps) or replace one with a lower value. I replaced mine with a switch to choose between 2 values. If going to replace …try a cap around 50, 68, 82 or 100 pF. 68pF is a popular choice. The original ac15 circuit had no bright cap.

I'm glad you liked it. I keep telling people how cool the MSB. I should get one myself.

Do you use any pedals with your MSB, or just plug straight in?

I'm a huge fan of real spring reverb, so I would go with the AC15, but I was pleasantly surprised by how good the Mini Super Beetle sounds. Nice demo!
Thanks! The MSB is indeed a cool amp. Tge reverb is good, but it's no spring reverb for sure.

Thumbs up subbed Great video
Ac15 definitely the winner but there's some benefits to having a solid state. I really like the super b.
There are some really good sounding SS amps out there. I know that it is blasphemy to say this, but I tend to prefer the clean tones from SS amps.

I Bet a vertex steel string slight return edition would sound great on the superbeatle

Vox only seems to reserve the FX loop for the AC30, and I can't figure out why.
I want an ac 15 but for home usage and I think it’s probably too loud.
What mic are you using? And what is the rest of your recording chain? Thanks!
The only mics I use are the SM57 and the Aston Origin. They go into a Presonus audio interface.

Is that with the greenback speaker or with the new one?
@@nikman5300 with the Greenback. I should be doing more Pathfinfer content soon.
The AC15 clearly won...!
It's a beast of an amp!
Er.. Beatle, not Herbie
I'm not sure what you mean.
@@TheToneLounge lookup Herbie 53

ac 15 sounds more clear
It does. It's a great amp.
@@TheToneLounge Yeah, I don’t have any Tube amps I have 5 SS amps but I Ike to have a vox or a fender 65 reverb but I can’t afford it

Uui
Not sure what that means...
My vox mini super beetle does not take pedals well at all
I found this to be true as well. However, I see that amp as a plug and play. No pedals needed.
I like my super beetle with some of my pedals , fuzz as well, I play it through a Marshall cab 2x12 with greenbacks
