I own an AC-15 C1. Great amp. Have used it in a number of situations. Pit orchestra, church, and other. It can get really loud. Bought it to go with my Ric 660-12. It handles ES-335 types really well. Look forward to you doing more with it. It's a great amp.
The guitars? Ric is a solid body 12 string. The ES-335 type is an Epiphone Sheraton Pro ii. semi hollow body with coil splits. It is a poor man's Gibison 335. Both are very nice guitars. @@dimitris70
I believe the C1 is for the speaker that is in it. "Celestion" the other choice is "Green Back" speaker. They also make and extension cab for the AC 15 and they make AC 15 C2. Some say VOX amps don't handle pedals well. I disagree. It does it well. OD, Chorus, Tremelo, Reverb, compression. You can really get some great break up with this amp. You might Google speaker choices for Vox AC15. Hope that helps. @@dimitris70
My main amp died right before a gig last week so I went to GC and tested the ac15 vs a Blues Junior. I ended up taking the BJ and after playing it for a few days I started to rethink my decision. I didn’t know anything about the vox so I did some more research and went back to swap it for the BJ. I’m so glad I did, the ac15 sounds incredible and takes pedals like a champ. The only downside is the weight but having a larger cab for the speaker to breathe vs. the BJ makes a big difference IMO. Thanks for the video!
Im a home hack player that loves blues and i have had a couple jrs in the past, which were very good amps… was about to get another but after months of searcHing reviews etc decided on the ac 15 c1 ….have had it a couple weeks or so and for my situation its so much more usable than the jr was …the ac is more versatile anywhere but also at lower the volumes i need …its a different animal im still adjusting to but have no regrets thus far .
I’ve had one religious experience in a guitar store in my entire life. I pulled a Fender Baja Tele off the wall and plugged it into an AC15. Just thinking about it still gives me chills years later.
I have the AC15 head as well as a VOX screen with two 12" speakers, I bought it new, the kid bought it, he tried it once and said it had little power for his band, so I bought it for less money than the price of only the screen!!!.... as standard it uses two Greenbacks, remove one andI replaced it with a webber, and I don't think I'll ever take it out of the house!!!
That's pretty. The amp, I mean. I got an AC10 on a deal from Sweetwater (in royal blue), and it's plenty loud for my use. I put a Lorcan in front of it, this is a small amp/pre-amp with distortion and delay built in, so you don't need a pedalboard. The Lorcan really brings out the clean tone on the Vox. Well done.
I really enjoyed this video. Way too much for my upcoming apartment life -- after living in a house for a decade I am spoiled -- but I think about this one often. For now, I use it often on an Hx Stomp, but it's not the same.
One for the treble boost circuit and one for the normal. It's similar on old Fender tube amps where you have two inputs. It's just the way the amps that's till have them were then so the goal with keeping that is staying faithful to the original designs
How cheap are your guitars? If you're buying new right now your guitars could scarcely cost more than $120, which wouldn't even get you a Squier Sonic new. You can also find used AC15's much cheaper than new. Idk I get griping about price but unless you're in a different country and the prices are much different there, this comment doesn't really match reality IMO
That’s great to hear the different sounds 👍
Thanks for watching!

I used to love to see the wall of Vox amps during the old concert days. It’s amazing the sound you can get out of the small footprint version.

How is it possible to return the amp back?
Btw is very good that happens

I love this amp
Best jazz sound ive heard in a while
this is one of my fav amps ever!
Stay classy!
I also have a 1967 Vox tube combo head/cabinet in the metal rack.
Oh man that's awesome!
I had one several years ago played my Ric through it and it was outstanding. Sold it to one of my best buds.
that's a true vintage rig!
Just got one as An anniversary present! Great amp..PS love the Music Man St. Vincent too

I have a 40. And it is amazing. Cleanest amp I’ve ever used. Can’t even tell that it is one when I’m not playing. Clean clean clean.
The best of the cleans!
Had one of the 2x10" Korg re-issues for 25 years. Made in the Marshal factory in England. My desert island amp.
I play an AC15 with my Teles. Just a blues pedal to push it a bit through the normal channel. Brilliant, unique sound.

New amp days are the best. I still haven't managed to try a vintage vox, but my understanding is that it's an experience.
That is a beautiful amp. Absolutely one of the better looking style amps. Legendary tones.
I love it!
@@seandaniel23 it's just not in my cards. Can't afford it and even if I could, lol the only way my wife would allow it is if I could win it. That's it
When you buy a new Vox AC-15 your neighbors also buy a new Vox AC-15!!!!
I have a that amp~ I love it. ❤
Classic!
What mic did you use on the Vox?
A Soyuz 1973
Are you playing it without a cabinet? I just got one and was wondering if you can play it without a speaker cabinet
¿No viste lo que sacó de la caja?
How's this sound when you plug in a ukulele?
I dragged an AC30 around for years. Such a beautiful amp but the AC15 is where it’s at for me these days.
Why is there 2 inputs? Is that really necessary?

>the price is right
>it costs 7 of my guitars

everyone buy guitar rather than amp
