The Italian state broadcaster RAI has made a copyright claim on this film and it is consequently blocked in Italy. I would be interested to know how RAI claims this copyright, assuming of course that some camera team from Italy is responsible for the filming. I think that they ought to tell us. I found this film in the film archives in Warsaw.

Michael Whisman - Really, they filmed these scenes the same month that the Nazis began the transports to Treblinka? It had to have been made as some form of propaganda, presumably to record the ghetto and it's inhabitants just before it disappeared. There are better quality films in existence, such as "A Film Unfinished", that actually captures the German film makers themselves in a few frames, including the lead photographer, Willi Wist.

To compare the 2 like it's somewhat in the same level is despicable and minimize what happand in the warsaw getto
But if you really want to compare between the 2, let's do it
      About 460,000 people were
imprisoned at the warsaw getto in an area of 3.4 km2 (1.3 sq mi), with an average of 9.2 persons per room, so it's 135,000 people per km2
In comparison, before the war, the gaza strip had 2.3 million people, in an erea of 365 km2, which means it's 6301 people per km2
So the warsaw getto was 21 times more densely populated than the gaza strip
The daily calorie intake in the getto was 900 calories (an average woman needs 1600-2400 calories a day, and an average man needs 2000-3000 calories a day)
Before the war, the obesity rate at gaza was around
30 %. It doesn't look like they were lacking food there (it was higher than israel )
And even during the war, about half a million ton of food entered the gaza strip, which is about 3000 calories per person daily more than enough so no one would starve
In the warsaw getto in two and half years about 92,000 people died due to starvation and disease which accounted for nearly 20% of the entire population for comparison it will be like more than 400,000 people dying in the gaza strip due to starvation and disease, about 300,000 people of the getto residents were killed in the deportion process to the death camps either by bullet in the liquidation of the getto or the gas chambers combined with victims of starvation and related diseases almost about 400,000 people were killed
More than 85% of the entire getto population!
It's like 1,955,000 people would be killed in gaza strip
So, do you really think there is any comparison here
Gaza before the war had a better quality of life than half of the world
They had luxury hotels, restaurants, shopping malls,
More hospitals per capita than israel, and got aid More than any other group in the world so you can stop with your bu*lshit comparison
Not to mention that the jewish resistance fought only soldiers
Not like hamas and other terror group and gazan civilians who targeted and killed israeli civilians, tourists, and foreign workers while burning people alive, raping,
beheadeding, mutilating, torturing, and parading bodies in the streets.
Is that what you call an uprising, really?
It's was a terror attack and a massacre of mostly civilians

From the outbreak of the war in Sep ‘39, American Jews sent care packages of food and medicine to their relatives in Poland. After Jun ‘41, the US government made this illegal. No reason for this harsh prohibition. Nobody was sending tanks and Jeep’s.

Despite this, it seems that once again the world is not taking significant action to address this issue.

I know perfectly well what you mean. You have been listening to neo Nazis in Poland who started the black 'Polish death camps' hoax. Blame liberal, progressive Germany of today whilst the hard right can go shouting 'Seig Heil' in the centre of Warsaw and the now former head of the IPN in Wrocław can support his Fascist terrorist friends in Donbass and give Hitler salutes in public. Meanwhile Rydzyk, Czartoryski and their likes are cashing in hundreds of millions of tax payer funded corruption. These were Nazi ghettos and don't try and say anything else.

    • @MichaelT_123
      @MichaelT_123 3 роки тому

The Ghetto is the Jewish name of a self-closed suburb in medieval Venice, where the local merchants traded commodities (metals, silk, spices, slaves, ...) between the East and the West. The separation from a broader community assured the kosher life of locals, limiting contacts with un-cleans. It was (and still is) quite common practice through centuries. So this was the Jewish Ghetto.
