- It's not as female gazy, but ENCINO MAN is another Frasier 90s movie that portrays him as a dumb hunk... this time as an unfrozen caveman :D. Not as good as GotG, but entertaining enough, especially for a reaction vidja. He also has some good 90s dramas under his belt, like WITH HONOR and SCHOOL TIES, but his best movies have to be THE MUMMY, and THE MUMMY 2, both of which still hold up imo. I'm slightly ashamed to say that I spent part of Memorial Day attending a MUMMY-orial Day themed viewing party.
- Also, just gotta say that for a dumb movie about a cartoon character from the 50s or 60s, the writing in GEORGE OF THE JUNGLE is pretty smart, and it's better than it has any business being. And I still LOVE seeing Leslie "Ursula" Mann in whatever movie she does.
- And if you haven't seen Disney's Tarzan, inspired by the same character that GotG parodies, that's a great one too. The opening alone is worth the price of admission, and beats the opening of UP imo.
Kind of a deep cut but Blast From the Past is my favorite Brendan Fraser movie. He plays a man named Adam who was raised in a bomb shelter by his parents (Christopher Walken and Sissy Spacek) because they believed nuclear war had kicked off. Stars Alicia Silverstone as the woman he falls for named Eve. It might be a bit dated but I say worth a watch for some good 90s rom com/fish out of water storytelling.
The Mummy 1 & 2 and blast from the past are my favorites with Brendan
The actor who played the ape actually went on to become Zac efron
George of the Jungle came out when my daughter was little and I took her to see it and was like gasp, "who is this guy?". I mean the audience was full of Mom's with their kids, so everyone was enjoying themselves.
amazing 😂
Me lol
My step mom took me and my stepsister too see it in theaters 😂 I think we all know why now
When George came out I legit went WAIT and got the giggles. The HAIR the ARMS A++++ WHITE FLOWY SHIRT BLACK PANTS 😫❤️
Yess the fits 😩
I love it 🥵😍
A WONDERFUL time! I've always found this movie so fun but seeing a tumblr post detailing how and why it was the female gaze made me adore it more and so did this reaction. Truly an underrated treasure
Thanks for watching! ❤️
I agree
This man was hooooooooooot, im so glad he´s getting roles again :D
Us too 😊
@@demontrash hey can you girls put gloves on sometime and rub my face and watch the movie anaconda
The only two reason Brendan Fraser stopped getting roles was one the mummies movies broke him physically and he is still recovering from physical injuries to this day, and two he was a victim of sexual abuse in Hollywood and when he tried to speak out about it in the two thousands he was blacklisted for speaking out, it’s not right but it happened and has to stop.
"Imagine you trained a group of gorillas to be ninjas..."
This is a sub-plot of Congo.
I love George of the Jungle! Such an impossible film to dislike. Quite the rare gem. Sometimes there's nothing better than silly goofy fun and a woman fighting for who she wants.
Also, her dad. What a chad!
omg please watch the Mummy or even better Bedazzled with Brendan Frazer
Looove those movies 👍
BEDAZZLED
Seconded. Bedazzled. 😱💚😂
I agree
Brendon shall forever be a Himbo icon😅🤤
I was a kid when I watched this movie.I didn't notice how hot Brendan Fraser was in the movie till I was a teenager 😂 I was too young at the time to appreciate his hotness
One of the women that was feral for him was his girlfriend at the time that ended up being his wife later on
Who are you talking about?
@@dennisdrozdov1424Afton Smith. She was in the movie.
You two are freaking hilarious, I will watch you react to anything. And yes I’ve slipped on a banana peel.
Brendan Fraser does his own stunts. You know the guy in the Mummy, Brendan Fraser, well Brendan Fraser did his stunts. (inside joke)
I read he had to be resuscitated on the set of the mummy during the hanging scene! 👀
@@demontrash Holy macaroni, I
found an article with an interview: He lost consciousness, and the EMT revived him. whether his heart stopped, Fraser doesn't say.
@@hareecionelson5875 crazy!
@@demontrash I heard he broke multiple bones in George of the Jungle stunts too.
For all of Disneys “anti gay” crap they sure didn’t have a problem turning several little boys gay with this film
This is a great movie! George of the Jungle made me want to become a stuntman!
It was also nice that you mentioned the stuntman! Most people think the stunts in this movie were fake.
This has always been one of my 90's childhood favorites! I first saw this in my old high school when we were watching a movie in class. Anyway that Brendan Fraser was so hilarious playing George!🤣
LOOK AT MY CHILDHOOD! 6:30 lol This is why im like this except it was The Mummy for me at age 7
18:01 Essentially a (partial) summary of Phantom of the Opera 😂
Please watch The Mummy, y’all will love it!!!!
The part when George grabs a hold of that python and then it roars at him, that part makes me panic too. I'm super fraid of snakes. Although the scariest snake scene in a jungle movie was in The Jungle Book 1994 when the big anaconda slithers under the treasure and then he jumps out at Mowgli and lets out a similar snarl and then he pushes Mowgli into the moat
There’s a similar scene in Tarzan where stuntman Wolf Larson fights a big snake. It’s even more scary then when George swings into the snake.
This was my family's favorite movie we watched it all the time.
I always thought his performance was better then his performance in looney tunes back in action
This was my favorite movie when I was 4, back in 1997
I too have a fear of feral people💀 (said no one ever).
You ladies are a balm for my insomnia 😂
Avery just made me feel old as hell! @ 9:12 😭
I remember watching this movie for the first time ah brings back memories also yes banana peels are actually slippery trust me I tried it as a kid cause I was curious and nearly hurt myself cause it dose slip so do not recommend trying lol. Hi Carol hi Avery hope you are doing good maybe for one of your next videos you could watch the sequel to this movie George of the jungle 2 as a suggestion. You are both amazing people and your videos are always the best be sure to always what you love most in life and be sure to keep being awesome 😊👍🏼❤️
One question still remains, however: Is a zany cartoon sound effect heard as you slip on the banana peal?
I remember loving it as a kid
Me too
Loved this movie since I was 6.
Is anone else familiar with the original source material? The 1967 Animated series, a parody of Tarzan movies.
You should take a look at Blast from the past. It´s another fun movie with Brendan Fraser.
Also take a look at ANY movie from Mel Brooks, particularly Spaceballs and Blazing Saddles if you haven´t seen them already.
Great reaction, by the way! You´ve earned yourselves a new subscriber!
Encino Man too to complete the trilogy of Brendan Frasier fish out of water movies
I know this is old but Have you ladies seen this movie 1990s ENCINO MAN starring Sean Austin?
Why are we best friends? I love you gals!
❤️❤️❤️
was scared of being beaten to death so I subscribed.
Im about to log in to my other accounts to like this video and get those 2 last likes so we can witness this banana peel experiment.
Recommendation : x-files episode 'the Jersey devil' from season 1
if you have a fear of feral people, this is the episode of x-files to watch
You guys gotta watch Jungle 2 Jungle cause i know if George was yalls childhood so was that movie. And maybe the Homeward Bound movies? Am i alone? 😅
Can ya’ll do a reaction to the movies sequel ? George Of The Jungle 2?
Yes
Baby Demon: “For the girls”
Me: and the GAYS…
for the girls = the girls, gays and theys 💗
12:48
…and now we’ve reached the “chick porn” part of the movie.
😎
(No disrespect)
Oooooo please watch the mummyyyyy!
great video you should react to Air bud basketball movie next
Have you seen Tarzan The Fearless? It can be found on UA-cam
The second one was just so bad, the acting and such like I wanted to throw because they changed the main actor which I’ll probably never know what Brendan Fraser decided not to return or something happened that he couldn’t returned? In case something similar also happened to The Rock when he only the first SCORPION KING and last four where two different actors Michael Coupon & Victor Webster.
Hilarious 😂
dope 🤗
could you react to the sequel film George of the jungle 2 ?
NO!
I've found my kind of wom we n.
Me a bisexual dude: 🤤
You need therapy
Can you remember when you didn't think everything was problematic? These ladies can't.
Well ...
Sometimes ago, underage marriage wasn't problematic.
Actually, this would technically still be a "male gaze" movie. A "gay male gaze" to be more precise. The vast majority of heterosexual women do not include physically assets as a top trait for a male companionship. It is the same reason that the song "It's Raining Men" is actually more popular with gay men than with women. Even heterosexual men like power male fantasy movies like this more so than their female counterparts. It has been found that both heterosexual and homosexual women find romance is their gaze, no matter the gender or sexuality of the romance couple.
Now this isn't 100% true for everyone. There are always exceptions to general human behavior. But marketing is all about understanding general human behavior.
Fun Fact: Almost every element from the George of the Jungle cartoon series is included in this movie... even the "Never Argue With The Narrator" line that shows up in Jay Ward's cartoons.
Bros mansplaining THE FEMALE GAZE 😭🤣🤣
Toni Mello ...Am I wrong? 🤔
@@BigGator5 yes. Yes you are.
