Absolutely the comment that Michael makes, about Sammy and how he talks like he's still in this life. Or that he's still running a crew, he never had compassion Michael tells like it is always.
I enjoy listening to Gravano's stories, but I felt like he somehow always makes himself look like a stand up guy, or in RJ's own words like "the hero, or the good guy" of the story, Sammy was right, and everybody else was wrong, and therefore had to accept whatever Sammy was saying, because most of the people that were around during that time, are no longer with us on this Earth, to either confirm or to give a totally different outlook and perspective about all these stories that Sammy talks about.. Until now!!! thanks to Mr.DiLeonardo. my instinct and doubt about some of the things Sammy has been saying for so long has been reassured..so I just wanted to say thank you Mr.DiLeonardo for sharing your inside knowledge, and point of view about the way that you saw, and perceived what was REALLY! going on back then. ✌🏼 I edited just to also say "What's up Roger!!"
Great show guys. RJ, you really worked Michael over and his answers were quite deep. From the tapes, especially John Gotti's decision to have Louie Dibono clipped, Frank LoCascio hardly ever offered an alternative course of action. Question for Michael, by not tempering the impulsive reaction of John to Sammy's requests for approval to eliminate Members and Associates, did Franky Loc fail as a member of the Administration?
From what I’ve heard it sounded like Frankie was scared being stuck in between Sammy and John. Sounds like he just kind of went with the flow. Nothing I’ve ever heard on tape with him being firm on an issue. He was basically trying to do anything to get on John’s good side.
What’s up, RJ. Mikey, how you doin? Just want to say, what you’ve said here, Is Confirmed. It’s good to see you saying things as they happened. Not painting a picture to make urself look good.
Can we expand the scope of these interviews. The discussions about the Gotti tapes and Gravano are very enligthening and I appreciate Mr. DiLeonardo's insight. But there are so many more people to talk about such as. Gotti Jr., Nicky Scarfo, Phil Leonetti, John Alite, Greg Scarpa, Anthony Casso, etc. RJ, you tend to dwell on the Gravano stuff and I think it would be nice to expand beyond the Sammy enviorment. Maybe I'm wrong about that.

Sammy once said "When John Gotti Barked, I Bit!!!". Well if you ( Sammy) had the boss's ear, and You Rile John up about Certain Persons and John starts barking BECAUSE OF WHAT SAMMY TOLD HIM and then Sammy Says Ok John I'll take care of them I'll make him "Go away". Imo Sammy set their hits in motion and then followed through with it, and cry about how John MADE HIM KILL HIS FRIENDS OR THESE GREAT PEOPLE HE LOVED. I see now a year later lol
I was listening to the latest show and I want to say I love the fact that you want to talk more with Mike Caruso about the neighborhood I'm from Cleveland little Italy /the hill and I can relate I love those old stories
I think you forget that it was John & Quack Quack went to Frank & Sammy for help on killing Paul, taking over the Family etc, it's not Sammy's fault that John didn't do his due diligence on what SG was telling him but basically Sammy outsmarted John.
@@MikeyScarsNOEXCUSES your analysis and comments about the FBI tapes is as good as it gets. Totally riveting hanging on every word you give us from that side of the life
Another thing that I could never understand is why Louie Milito was killed. I mean we all know Milito remained loyal to Castellano and Bilotti, but Gravano makes mention that Milito was bad mouthing his captain Big Lou. It was definitely over greed in my opinion.
@@josephaccardo8253 I’m glad you can see it. I was a Gravano channel follower. But then you starting putting Two and Two together, and the rest is upto you and read the writing on the wall
@@tonyrizzo615 I know Sammy has many followers and people that believe him, but you got to remember we aren’t dealing with a saint here or a person that is remorseful. Michael is his competition and Sammy doesn’t like when anybody gets in his path, on the streets he would execute his competitors.
He said he was going to send something Special in the mail for them? I’m guessing it was a horses head! 😂 imagine the suprise when u get that in the mail…
Omerta is a very complicated word that in modern society such as in America its used and thrown out there to make a point. Or to have an affect on others when someone is talking. Omerta is also a condition in which or from which people are from and how they must live their lives. Omerta for me is a feeling; its an idelogy within an ideology. At times this ideology makes you serve the masters in silence while you endure the negative and the pain. Here in Italy im relearning my culture....Im relearning Omerta; I'm relearning what to say; How to say it; when to say things; I'm relearning the hidden meaning behind what is being said and how to absorb it. Im relearning to the complexities of my culture! This in so many words is Omerta!!! As an American i love my culture i love my people; i love our cities; i love how we move and how we do things; i love our underworld its powerful...but we just don't understand the way of the that "feeling"!! My father made it clear to me if someone asks you say "nothing" or "you say i don't know"!! THATS IT BOYS AND GIRLS!!! Its that simple!!! RJ its what i have taught and instructed my children!! There is one more thing that my old man taught me and thats respect!!! Not fear..thats two different things!! Omerta is also living in the shadows. Omerta is also satisfying yourself being second or third...SCARS talks about it from time to time and i agree!! And why is this because wanting to be "numero uno" all the time places an individual under the light. The light sometimes doesn't allow you to see things clearly!!! Ok i gotta go now its my move on the chess board!!!! Adios amigos...
omerta was comon on my childhood home ..my father instilled respect and keeping ur mouth shut .because in my hse things was always falling off backs of trucks.. always something new flashy and 1st on the block to have 1 lol.. everyone ask where u get that from? I dunno i heard they fell of of a back of truck😂.they got the message after a while never ask no more.Omerta is a beautiful thing for alot of families in neighborhood 💯
Mike that will be great talkin about cooking and food.. it was big-time in my house with all the Sicilian food... until I got married my wife couldn't cook she's the only one I know that burned water.. I remember on 86th Street that have a bushels of snails that's one thing we didn't eat...
Michael I was like a son to one of Jimmy's guys and I quite often be with him on Sundays on 86st, he passed away in 1990 at the wake in Avioli on 13 ave Jimmy came to the wake with all the guys and when he left he went to the casket & kissed his guy goodby went yo his wife and told his wife if she needed anything to tell me and to get in touch with him & told me to make sure I started to report there every week, aside from welcoming directly I taught it was a class act with the kiss & condolence to his wife
I have to agree with the comment before mine , I like listening to you because you own you reality, you own your actions, and with the rest of them not taking responsibility for their actions it’s a lot of fresh air ( as did in the comment below ) it good because I know you’ll tell the truth , and it’s nose to have someone calling out sammy the comer bull on his lies 👍
You make a great team in both the asking and answering of the questions. Also there is an added depth as the questions are answered honestly, and with great emotion and gravitas; that brings your show up to another level .It is a real treat to hear history talked about by a participant who has been affected by ' The slings and arrows, of outrageous fortune' (Shakespeare). It is also an emotionally riveting experience for the listener .there are certain genres on UA-cam which call themselves 'Mob tube' which actually have no mob content and seem to be some sort of troll channel bereft of any intellectual or historical content regarding or reflecting their channels name.I think you patreon channel separates the wheat from the chaff and keeps your channel on a separate more credible platform which definitely reflects your serious content .(Although I appreciate what you put on UA-cam very much).Thankfully you both were aware of that also and have kept your podcast out of the nonsense that is 'MobTube' and you both show a great humility which is missing from most genres on the Mob Tube platform.
ROBERT WE ARE HUMBLED BY YOUR ASSESSMENT, "WHETHER IT IS NOBLER IN THE MIND!" I KNEW THE WHOLE SOLILOQUY..WE WANT TO ESTABLISH AN HISTORICAL RECORD, WHAT YOU JUST STATED TELLS US WE ARE ON THAT PATH GREAT THANKS!
Mikey makes a compelling point about how could Sammy break the last rule- The oath to Omerta. He hit the nail on the head ! He wasnt a true believer for sure !!
Michael I agree with u never talked much , u came to Jimmy's club one day & stepped right behind Jimmy and as Jimmy was talking he makes a statement that if he was ever in the can with you , ur the guy he would want standing behind him , u smiled.good luck with ur new life , whatever is left out there of the life I don’t think they’re enjoying themselves any.
What I'd like to see answered is who requested the hit on Gotti's neighbor? That poor man and his family. Sammy said he didn't do it and didn't agree with harming him, yet in the movie, Gotti, it shows Sammy. Why would Sammy be angrier about the accident than John? Doesn't make any sense to me so I tend to believe Sammy. Some have said Gotti's wife wanted the neighbor murdered and was known to yell and scream at the neighbor. It was an accident and he didn't deserve his fate. I find this one of the most despicable things. Absolutely horrible.
RJ , you're going to have o do something about that laugh. Sounds like a nervous laugh, don't be nervous, just laugh naturally , don't be afraid or worried about laughing.
Michael & RJ, this is a breath of fresh air. You , both are a pleasure to listen to and watching! Good job, Gentlemen

I think you forget that it was John & Quack Quack went to Frank & Sammy for help on killing Paul, taking over the Family etc, it's not Sammy's fault that John didn't do his due diligence on what SG was telling him but basically Sammy outsmarted John.

Another thing that I could never understand is why Louie Milito was killed. I mean we all know Milito remained loyal to Castellano and Bilotti, but Gravano makes mention that Milito was bad mouthing his captain Big Lou. It was definitely over greed in my opinion.

Great debate !
HELLO VITO, TY FOR THIS OPINION IT IS WELL TAKEN!
omerta was comon on my childhood home ..my father instilled respect and keeping ur mouth shut .because in my hse things was always falling off backs of trucks.. always something new flashy and 1st on the block to have 1 lol.. everyone ask where u get that from? I dunno i heard they fell of of a back of truck😂.they got the message after a while never ask no more.Omerta is a beautiful thing for alot of families in neighborhood 💯

NO NOT REALLY TY

THE MAN SHOULD NOT HAVE DIED
