"Larkin is almost guaranteed to not sign with Detroit". Literally 3 seconds after I get the notification from NHL saying they locked him up on an eight year deal.

best part of this is when Corwin says he's surprised Dylan Larkin hasn't re-signed and no less than 24 hours later he signs an 8 year contract.🤣

As another Avs fan, I agree a lot with Luca here. It's so great to see how deep the core really is because of how they haven't let themselves spiral with all of injuries. They've stepped up and are only getting healthier. Especially now with Gabe skating again, Manson and Bo being back, and etc. By the time the playoffs roll around they're going to be deadly. Mikko's also just been on fire this entire season, and I love that people are finally giving him the recognition he deserves. It's been a wonderful surprise to have from what's been a pretty rocky season at times.
When he lists out all the injuries like that though, oh my god our team has just taken a beating this year… those poor guys, I can’t even imagine how they kept up the morale after some of those

14:56 Biggest surprise rfor me is the fact that its Feb 28 as Im typin and THE BUFFALO FREAAKING SABRES ARE IN A PLAYOFF HUNT! They are currently One point behind Pittsburgh and 3 behind NYI. Seriously why isn't more people talking about the Eastern COnference wild Card race. We're all grumbling about the 1-3 format (which is granted) but the 12 seed Sens still technically have a pretty good shot at the Penguins (62 points for the sens to the Pens 67)
and with the amount of games the islanders have played id say the sabres have a better chance to make it than the islanders

Oilers fan here: Our depth is actually holding! They’re outscoring all opponents 5v5, it’s not pretty numbers but they’re also doing a good job shutting down opponents. It’s actually the stars that are also the reason the team is getting pummelled defensively.

I think Gibson is going great for what he has to do 50 saves a lot of the games and the ducks only have 20 shots a game he is working is ass off

The Oilers' depth has been so much better this year, Warren Foegele literally has 11 goals, Yamamoto would have more if he actually played, and Campbell is basically the only reason they aren't first in the division right now.

As a habs fan! Ghule is my biggest surprise... being our best defenseman as a 21 years old. When he got injured is when mtl started to lose.
Panthers fan here and Maurice is definitely one of the coaches of all time. They brought him in to “fix our powerplay and other issues from last year” and nothing was fixed if anything it’s all worse. Our pk sucks our pp is not any better and we lose every game we should win and win every game we should lose. It makes no sense oh and we outshoot most of the teams we play and make backup goalies look like vezina winners because for some reason we can’t find the back of the net but we shoot 40+ times in most of our games
As a panthers fan Jesse is spot on. Did not like the Paul Maurice hire and it shows. The panthers are a team right now that just can’t get on a winning streak, we’ve had one 3 game win streak this season

Reminder for those who forgot or don't know fans selected a goon (started as a joke by two radio DJs) as the captain of the Pacific team. The league forces a trade of him to Montreal who immediately (before he even landed) demoted him to the minors. The league pressured him not to go while the fans demand he be allowed to compete. He goes performs decently in the hardest shot, scored 2 goals, and won the All-star MVP. Then played a single game for Montreal before retiring.

I didn't quite get his comment. As of today, 8 forwards have double digit goals (with many missing over 15 games) and that doesn't include Kane. They have 4 players with atleast 20 goals and that's way more than most teams in the league. The depth and scoring isn't a concern, it's the best Edmonton has seen in years.
