The most frightening thing about this video is the frame rate. I remember how difficult abyss watchers fight was the first time going into ds3. Fighting 99 is like fighting Saurons Army, and fighting 99 lords of cinder is like fighting 99 saurons.
Bro these videos just made me a fan of this game! Part 1 and 2 are sick!!! The Abyss watchers is my favorite! Lol I learned their name from the comments... Good stuff!!!
Technically for soul of cinder MAYBE you can win if you use a great shield with great magic shield so you can just tank all attacks while they hurt each other, just make sure to stand in a corner and don't lock on anyone, otherwise your visual will turn exposing your side
4 things: 1. Not very original but great magic shield on a good shield would make you invulnerable to physical attack and make you lose no stamina. Grabs and elemental damage would still be a problem though. 2. Only one pestilent mist/mercury can be active at a time, spamming doesn’t help a ton. 3. Grab the HEAVIEST armor you can find, slap on iron flesh, the old wolf curved sword, and the Pontiff left eye ring. Oath of sunlight, chloranthy ring, lingering dragoncrest ring, and ring of favor optional. Activate poise and spam. No rolling or running. When you spam with that setup you can get 7000 ish health back per swing (limit breakers can explain better). I would think that would be the ideal strat. You would be unkillable, and during grab attacks (which are not usually one-shots) you’d have I-frames where the boss cold still hurt itself. Reapply iron flesh before it runs out. 4. Awesome video. I enjoyed very much!! Thank you for the content :)
I know only one Pestilent Mist can be active at a time, I was just re-applying it before it ran out. I've considered Magic Shield, but I think its duration wouldn't be long enough. The Pontiff left eye ring and Iron Flesh is a good idea, that might actually make Bosses like Pontiff (they don't hit each other) possible.
100 Stability greatshield build is likely optimal for this, in fact I just scrolled down and someone has already pointed this out. Also for certain bosses that deal fire damage to each other snap freeze could be handy because they'll reset each others frostbite metres allowing you to do constant %max health damage. Even against enemies that don't deal fire damage to each other, frostbite makes enemies take more physical damage, and that applies to the damage bosses deal to each other. Another good call is pestilent mist, which I theorise to be the best way to deal direct damage in this setting by *far.* Remember lingering dragoncrest +2 for great magic shield, you can wield a staff for spells in the other hand, and assuming that's all you're using you could probably get away with fast rolling as well.
My two all time favorite bosses from DS3 were Abyss Watchers, and The Twin Princes. Those two fights pushed me to my limit and the victory was extremely sweet.
