Thanks, I just did it on Xbox and got 121,000+ points and the achievement! It was a bit tough since I didn't pick up on having to press a button to finish the Sundances, and then when I did I lost my streak a couple times. Took about 6 or 7 attempts in all.

Okay your strategy is VERY much so not working....did they patch this or something? Cause I did exactly what you are doing and it.....wont.....work.
For starters, I got to Chain 2 right out the gate and did the same number of clap steps as you did, but I did not have a perform action by chain 2.
Meanwhile you are getting a Perform action at that SAME BARREL happening at only 2200 points and a Chain of 2, where as Im only getting it to happen at Chain 4 with 3600 points, care to explain this if you would please? D: cause I don't know what to do X.x
Is this minigame harder because Im on Critical or something?

It's possible... I will have to check later. This minigame can be tough because there are two hidden counters. But if they haven't changed anything and you follow the steps in the video description it should work
