Lets just assume that they should get half of the total revenue, leaving the other half for the salaries of the ownership, arena workers, marketing, all that. So a WAY, WAY MORE THAN FAIR wage would be $208,333.33 per player. Any player complaining that she should be making more than the benchwarmer players should be kicked out immediately for being a hypocrite.

What always blows my mind about the WNBA is how many fundamental mistakes get made on a nightly basis. I don't care if they can barely dunk or aren't as skilled in general but after 2 decades of 'professional' games I'd expect them to at least have the fundamentals down and not constantly make high school level decisions at the end of close games. That's not to say it's every team or that the NBA doesn't screw up obviously but it's at least called out. In the WNBA it gets so common on both sides of the floor that it's basically just treated as part of the game. Makes me really wonder what some of these coaches are doing.

I root for people like CC to make this sport spectacular and profitable. My mom was a female athlete and there are sports which I only follow because of women participating in them, like alpine skiing, there's just something so mesmerizing and attractive about the girls who rush down from a mountain at ridiculous speeds. They deserve the same salary as their male counterparts.
The WNBA is not there yet. I really hope it will change. We need Cheryl Millers and Caitlin Clarks.

What always blows my mind about the WNBA is how many fundamental mistakes get made on a nightly basis. I don't care if they can barely dunk or aren't as skilled in general but after 2 decades of 'professional' games I'd expect them to at least have the fundamentals down and not constantly make high school level decisions at the end of close games.
That's not to say it's every team or that the NBA doesn't screw up obviously but it's at least called out. In the WNBA it gets so common on both sides of the floor that it's basically just treated as part of the game. Makes me really wonder what some of these coaches are doing.

Once upon a time dana white said womens mma would never be in the ufc. Gina paved the way for women to headline a popular venue. Rousy carried the touch and brought womens mma to the ufc. She showed how viable it could be. Many women were just as skilled as men but it struggled to gain interest. Similarly smaller weight classes in mens mma have struggled. Demetrious johnson was skilled and dominant but made less per fight than john jones. If you don't have interest you don't get paid

Based on the revenue both leagues generate, the average WNBA players make twice as much as the average NBA player..I’d be thankful I’m getting paid 100k being apart of something that loses money every year

It is not about women being inferior athletes that nobody watches WNBA. Even a niche can be profitable. The problem is that the WNBA has no solid niche. They want men's identity instead of finding their own identity. They can start by focusing on skills, fundamentals, and teamwork. Those are fun to watch, even if the level of intensity is lower.

The WNBA has consistently failed to properly market marketbale players. Even Caitlin Clark is being erroneously marketed as some kinda Great White Hope of WNBA Messiah, when this draft went 45 deep with only 36 picks. This is the most talented draft class in history, not everyone was drafted, and many chose to take advantage of the extra C19 year (because they owe them a normal college year). 1 player can't save them from themselves. Even Bird needed Magic to sell the race-bait marketing ploy. Same thing they did using Angel vs Caitlin for a year. They forgot to mention winning that game made Caitlin an astonishing 1-6 vs Angel, AND she still isn't a champion. This entire draft class is the story that'll grow the league's popularity, and the Big OG's will be phased out by the time Hannah & JuJu's class comes out. Next year, barring injury, you've got Paige & Azzi, Georgia Amoore, and Aneesa Morrow, with Flau'Jae & her class sandwiched between them & JuJu's class...IF they all come out on the projected schedule. A'ja and them will be Big OG's, and the WNBA will be 🔥, unless they keep screwing it up. Worst run pro league in America. This is their Magic-Bird to MJ-Olajuwan-Barkley to Shaq-Penny-Fab Five-A.I.-Kobe era, but they're stuck on Caitlin Clark. You've got all those 15yrs of high quality players spread out in 34 of 36 draft picks, and you focus on 1. Ridiculous. Small minded. Bad Business. I've never known a WNBA draft have 3 teams of 12 available in one draft. There's literally that kinda talent & variety in this class. You have to capitalize on that because it just doesn't happen every year, and these are the ones who really sold women's basketball to the general public. When the NBA was still struggling and still on tape delay in the 70s, most players had to work in the off season. Only the major stars like Kareem, Wilt or Dr J made over $250K.
Don't understand why they don't adapt the rules for the WNBA. Lower the rims , change the 3 point line... Volleyball does it, other sports do it. Women are physically not the same as men, just accept it. It would make it more attractive for the audiences. It still won't come near the NBA but it would improve things.

Given the lack of flashy youtube highlights in the wNBA basketball fans aren't really missing anything and even the one's which is considered their best highlights trust me I've seen those done in our public courts heck the ones I saw in our courts are even better.
