If you are going to produce a small number of these, I'm ready to buy one. Or please start a kickstarter campaign. Many around the world will be enthusiast. Interest on real film is rising ALOT
Genau das was jeder braucht.
@@variopancolar6487 of course - but capturing in 4K Raw is eminently achievable now so is it necessary to capture raw stills at a resolution that it’ll never be screened at? Bit depth for colour correction can be achieved in video and it would obviously speed up the process massively. Just wondered if there was any other reason for the frame by frame technique
Hey that's awesome. I'm building a 16mm scanner myself right now, but a much simpler one. For framing and take up spool I'm using the single shot mode of an old camera that I'm taking apart and I have a macro cine copy lens adapted to a digital camera. anyway your construction seems way more sophisticated and I would love to make contact with you and share some ideas if possible? hoping for a reply! all best
Rutschkupplung? programmierter Schrittmotor? ???
This is truly brilliant! Would you consider posting plans or instructions? Or would you consider accepting orders to build one? Website perhaps?
Brilliant work, so elegantly simple and efficient! We need something like this commercially available that doesn't cost £30,000!
Ah, the Stradivari of telecine contraptions did it again! Now i want to build my own claw mechanism.
I have been working on an 8mm, and seeing what you do on a regular basis with claw mechanism is humbling. Your craftmanship is amazing.

I really like that it is so compact and for use on several formats. Good quality too.
Wirklich extrem beeindruckend! Ich würde direkt einen nehmen!
This is absolutely brilliant!...The mind boggles!...genius!
Thank You :)

Dankesehr :)
Very well made. Well done!
Should consider using a mirrorless camera as the shutter will wear out!
Wow, fantastic quality and all
Brilliant. Would feeding it through at 25 frames a second and filming the resulting projection as a film rather than a series of stills work?
It's not a question if it works but what quality will come out.

Sign me up! I need one! 😊

So gr8! I need one too!
Can you make a video on how you removed the camera shutter and fashioned the trigger? You have awesome videos. Message me if you get a chance. Thanks
Trial and error while building it must have been maddening to say the least! Great Job! How long does it take to scan 50' feet?
nice!
Where can i buy one?
WOW... You are my heroe. Some parts come from a 16mm projector ?
Yes, the film gate is from a Meopta Meoclub. :)
Do you add background noise of someone writing in every video?
