A really helpful and balanced video, Dan. I was persuaded to join yesterday and I've spent the last twenty four hours agonizing about whether it was the right thing to do. I don't drive so getting to certain places is going to be pretty much impossible. I wish they'd do more to make to make their properties accessible from mainline railway stations. Having said that, I should end up visiting enough places to make it worthwhile. Even if I only do three or four more over the next 12 months, I'll break even.

Well done for posting the video, Dan. I was an NT member years ago and made the most of my membership by visiting lots of properties. I am thinking about joining again, not for the historic houses, but because I support the work they do for nature, owning coastline and many other areas of natural beauty. I was able to visit the Farne Islands (NT) 3 years ago which was fabulous. I don't currently own a car, so I doubt I'll be able to get to many properties and with the current 'lockdown' (Covid-19) travelling is out of the question. Charities will be really struggling at the moment. I wish NT would do a reduced membership for people who can't travel to properties but wish to support them.

Thank you for your comment. I agree some kind of low monthly donation when you can not get to the places would be good, and i am in the same boat now no car so im paying for places i can not go even with no lockdown. Suppose its a good cause anyway. I can imagine visiting tje Farne Islands was brilliant. Thanks again

NT have announced they expect to lose £200M in income during 2020 because of Covid-19. They need support!

I agree it is a good cause. Sadly without it many historic places would succumb to the developer’s greed. Have a blessed 2020. 🙂👍🏻🍻

I don’t agree with everything they do but we got a membership and it has been great. Especially through the winter we had something “free” to do every weekend and they often have events and talks so it’s fine returning to one’s you have been too 😊😊

They destroy everything they go near, a disgrace how they chop everything down.
