I love Al and I think Jack is a great kid. He has had all the advantages up to this point with the best training, analytics, rhapsodo machines, high speed cameras in 7th grade. Now with everthing equal we will see if he continues to improve and fulfill his promise. Hopefully he has a long and succesful career. His body type though does not lend itself to a power pitcher that can last over 10-12 seasons. Scherzer 6-3,Cole 6-4, Kershaw 6-4,Verlander 6-5, all much bigger guys

I dont like the way Leiter falls off the mound. A great one- Bob Gibson did it - but its rare that they do well . Its hard on the arm to not drive directly to the plate. Jordan Zimmerman is a classic example of his arm and velocity negatively impacted from this poor balance. Also, the pitcher is not in a good fielding position, which is bad for fielding and dangerous to a lineshot comebacker.
@@spectac1 BS. Some are worse than others. Leiter is bad in this way like Zimmerman. They even both do a hop after landing to try and gain some semblance of body control. To say 95% of pitchers fall to the side after delivery is stupid as hell. And funny how Maddux, Clemens and Ryan had insane careers with crazy longevity by driving to the target with their legs and finishing balanced. The balance takes stress off the arm. If thats a little league coach saying that its a really good one.
@@iankimura2630 SO the hitters will have mercy on him when his arm goes south because he's a little guy ? Ron Guidry wasnt too big either but he had elite mechanics. Leiter had to be shutdown halfway thru a 110 inning season at Vanderbilt because it was taking a toll on his arm. In his present state- I see him as a reliever.

It’s funny watching these guys criticize him like he isn’t a the 2nd overall draft pick😭

Ami. Wrong for liking the umpires outing more than Leiters
Getting ahead early. Working at a good pace.
Then walking a hitter, and hitting another. As I stated when he was in college.. he makes mistakes that won’t translate to the big leagues 👎🗑

I disagree with the frame thing is just not true and height has nothing to do with longevity.

Looks like he tips his slider
How?
right, cause you can tell from this angle😭 you a scout? like not a chance you can tell
High pitch counts
He is lousy at holding runners on. Jack is not using his slide step when runners are on. Hopefully his coaches will correct him.
When you throw 99 and your catch’s has a crazy pop time it really doesn’t matter that much
In the majors I don't know why so many pitchers don't have a slide step
Doesn’t seem like a super intense scrimmage since they switched sides regardless of number of outs
There’s always a critic!
The one thing I know is the Razorbacks ran roughshod over this guy, let’s see how he does in the pros!!
I mean a bad rangers team made Kershaw look like a child pitching to men.
