Mi scuso per la pubblicità sui miei video ma il ricavato (seppure molto modesto) sarà devoluto in beneficenza.
In questa terza composizione dedicata alla saga arturiana e in particolare all’isola di Avalon, ho narrato musicalmente la morte di Artù.
Dopo essere stato ferito mortalmente dal figlio Mordred nella battaglia di Camlann (evento a cui ho dedicato il brano precedente a questo), Artù viene portato ad Avalon dalla sorella Morgana.
La musica alterna momenti meditativi ad altri più forti e solenni per raccontare le diverse fasi del viaggio, dall’arrivo all’isola fino al momento del trapasso. La leggenda tuttavia interpreta questo episodio come un evento non definitivo: Artù infatti sarebbe pronto a ritornare quando il mondo avrà nuovamente bisogno di lui.
Il particolare del dipinto che compare verso la metà del brano è tratto da “The last sleep of Arthur in Avalon” (1881 - 1898) - frutto della maestria del pittore Edward Burne-Jones .

Purtroppo la risoluzione del quadro che si trova un po’ ovunque in rete non è ottimale così, tramite un software di intelligenza artificiale, ho potuto migliorarne sensibilmente la qualità. Questa mia nuova versione è liberamente disponibile per tutti coloro che vorranno farmene richiesta.

In this third composition dedicated to the Arthurian saga and especially to the island of Avalon, I musically narrated the death of King Arthur.
After being mortally wounded by his son Mordred at the Battle of Camlann (an event to which I dedicated the previous song), Arthur is taken to Avalon by his sister Morgana.
The music alternates meditative moments with other stronger and more solemn to tell the different phases of the journey, from the arrival to the island until the moment of the passing away.
The legend however does interpret this episode as temporary event: Arthur would be ready to return when the world needs him again.
The detail of the painting that appears towards the middle of the track is taken from "The last sleep of Arthur in Avalon" (1881 - 1898) - the result of the mastery of the painter Edward Burne-Jones .

Unfortunately the resolution of the picture that can be found everywhere on the net is not optimal so, through an artificial intelligence software, I was able to improve the quality significantly.
