Honestly, most important factor in a good battle simulator is good AI. The less derping the AI does, the more flanking and counterflanking manouvers and the better splitting of forces to deal with and find multiple fronts is really what makes the battles fun. Sure, a nice bit of sillyness is always good, but looking at UEBS2, the battles are so much more satisfying compared to bassically every battle simulator i have ever seen, and it's almost all because of the AI. The scale is also pretty awesome.
I think AI quality is top priority, but I enjoy being able to customize and make my own army how I see fit as well.
In this scenario the AI of the Americans was disabled when the troops were put on "Hold". A pity...
I hope the zombies get the World War Z treatment of just a tidal wave of zombies.
Climbing over each other, scrambling, and uncaring.
Maybe have a certain percentage to convert their kills into more zombies.
Their AI would be a stark contrast to everything else in that they have zero regard for anything but their enemy.
Zombies should be specialists in a war of attrition; they're not the strongest, fastest, or smartest, but there sure is a _lot_ of them, and they have a chance of adding more to their numbers.
@@jocosesonata they are pretty much like that to be fair, although they only climb other each others bodys due to it being relatively flat terrain and them all being the same speed. Esspecially as they are the least laggy unit type, so you can legitimately get far more of them that any other unit.
The only real way to make the zombies seem more uncaring than the other troop types would be to effectively nerf the other troops AI, by making them try to avoid climbing over body piles, which is a very bad idea.

The most important thing about battle sims in my opinion is the ability to examine both the micro AND the macro elements of the battle. Having the ability to look at this MASIVE battle, but then also zoom in and find a specific character, name him Jimmy and follow his exploits of being the last survivor of his squad, sending reinforcements to his position, just to save him, and then keep him alive until the end of the battle.
A good battle simulator needs good AI, and now, Artificial Intelligence has developed far enough to be introduced into games. Soon, we will have games where the enemy troops strategize, learn, change, adapt, improve. There, the shape of your troops, their elevation, everything will matter. Now THAT'S fun. Knowing that your enemy learns and improves. That kind of game would never get old.
Do you also have a CPU/GPU army for that AI? And a nuclear power plant to power it?

you should make the corners of the defending team in this case ww2 soldiers, round so that they can have multiple people shooting on the corners instead of just the 1 (almost like a round edged square/rectangle)

Dang. Having watched a pentagon squad of 30k shottys go against 4m zombies and losing men down to 13k, I wasn't totally sure 10k was going to be enough for 1m on an open field with easy flanking.

Like when 1 Persian killed 10,000 Spartans in a UEBS 2 battle.

To my observation on empires of the undergrowth tug of war level,the AI has multiple adaptations of ants
The most often adaptation are black ants and wood ants,it dosent matter the difficulty,the AI queen has a very high chance of using black ants and wood ants early in the start of the level,then later into the game,they will start to use stronger ants that are more expensive.
The army ant adaption is the usage of army ant medias and majors only,they will usually have to start with army ant medias depending on the difficulty and their starting food.
The trap jaw adaption uses the power of the trapjaws only,but they probably won’t start with a trap jaw until further into the level.
The leaf cutter adaption uses leaf cutter ants available,this makes it extremely hard to reach the enemy queen because their ants tank a lot of hits.
The slave maker adaption uses the slave maker ants,to my observation,this is the most rare ant that the enemy queen would use,often it dosent use slave makers at all,so this is the RAREST adaption the enemy queen would use ever.
Or maybe (about god powers) paratrooper drop assisting selected team or zombie summon where they crawl out of the ground

Please play naval warfare and empires roleplay and i would really appriciate if you make a series out of empires roleplay (if you pay you can make your own faction)

If they were in free move the us soldiers would create a semi circle to match the zombies flanks
If this was realistic, like one shotgun shots one zombie is out, depending on the bullet. Also if all of the soldiers are reloading, your dead.
A shotgun could kill multiple zombies and they are reloading just at different times

A good battle simulator needs customization because then you can make a unit that is essentially a God when it comes to stats and see how many units it will take to kill.
Secondary Thing is scale so we can have the millions or billions required to kill the Demigod unit guy.

Hi BaronVonGames. I noticed in some of your UEBS 2 videos there is a good amount of blood present but in another video with exact situation in terms of unit type, no blood was present. Could you please explain how you did this or why it happened so I know how to disable or enable it? If anyone else out on UA-cam knows the answer, could you please let me know? Thanks!
These would be more amusing if they were more historically accurate? LIke, take, the Big Red One infantry Division and give them their proper load out of M1s, Thompsons, Grenades and M1919s, put them in a town or something and see.

it is amazing how this game can handle millions of people without lagging much.
Why only pump shotguns? WWII soldiers had Browning Automatic rifles and Thompson submachine guns. Give some of the soldiers those.
I'm guessing "simulator" is a joke? Unlimited ammo, no line of sight issues, and everyone can shoot through one another without concern for friendly fire.

My first computer was a 16k Sinclair ZX81. I can't wrap my head around the amount of cpu/gpu capability needed to pump this stuff out on the fly at xx frames per sec.
Is there any conceivable way to do this with 1 million Big Chunguses?
I wonder if full auto shotguns with unlimited ammo, therefore no reload needed and magical bullets that can pass through the comrade you shot in the back without hurting him and only killing your enemies, therefore no single soldier dying from friendly fire is an accurate representation of a WW2 soldier...
How good is ur pc? 1-10 rating 10 being 1000 frames on shooter games 1 being 100 frames on shooter games (on the best graphics)
you know that u have to reload shotguns , they have 6 bullets only.
Relaoding ammunition is only a single factor. Gun temperature will warp the barrel making it in effective, having clear line of shooting and ability to move when needed.
Wouldn’t the fallen soldiers just get up and turn into zombies the soldiers would fall rapidly surely?

I would've liked to see what would've happened if you put them in a different formation, like a v or a semicircle formation.
