Ha ha takes two guys to do that I do that by myself, you guys didn’t clean the heat plate and the fresh shaved pipe with acetone, before putting the heat plate in then didn’t give enough time for it to bead up under pressure, you also let the pipe soak under pressure, which you are meant to release the pressure and let the pipe soak for a few minutes at that size before you take out the heat plate and weld the pipes together, that weld looked way to small for the size of the pipe and will probably fail under the pressure the pipe is made for, did you guys even fill out a parameter sheet to work out the weld pressure, bead size, time under soak, time to close the pipes and time to cool down,
this is not a teaching school. its only a welding demo. all the scenes are not captured on camera, besides there are two ways to weld. you can either bead up under pressure or without. and acetone is only optional. it is not mandatory. also, bead thickness is calculated and falls within DVS2207-1. Dont worry about the joint failure, the pipes have a safety rating of 1.5, so, it wont be tested and running at full pressure.
