If I was the producer of the song I would have reached out to Oliver and given him some publishing & credit. That’s the right thing to do and everyone who works on a song deserves recognition. It wouldn’t matter to me if it was a royalty free sample. Maybe that can still happen.

This guys a legend, been a fan for awhile now and he's truly one of the best producers for producers in years. Just wish he would release some of his amazing tracks from his massive collection he has built up on his Ableton. Even his Hard Drive Waste songs would make for an awesome album or even just a couple single releases. I'd be bold to say with his contributions to major records from big and growing artists like Dua Lipa and the Weekend that he has helped define and revive the modern disco/funk genre in pop music today.

The amount of royalties one would get for something like this trumps any quarterly payment Splice worked out with the producer. And whos the one being seen besides some internet niche production channel or Splice interview? Julien Bunetta. I dont even see this guy in the official credits. Sad
