- Brian Wilson: Long Promised Road documentary film is about The Beach Boys' co-founder Brian Wilson, directed by Brent Wilson (no relation). The 2021 DVD movie follows Brian and Rolling Stone editor Jason Fine as they drive around Los Angeles and visit locations from Brian's past, interspersed with footage from recording sessions and comments from musical artists about his influence on the industry. The title comes from "Long Promised Road", a song written by Brian's brother Carl Wilson and former band manager Jack Rieley, which figures heavily in the film. This Bonus segment is additional interviews and deleted scenes from the DVD.

I grew up in southern California in the 60's and 70's and the Beach Boys were (and still are) a MAJOR part of my life!! I can't imagine my life with out the Beach Boys!

They are so busy with something else other than music.
When i grew up, music in general was very important, so i of course knew alot about the music that came before my time.

Most people don't know the depth of the Beach Boys catalog for sure! A lot of people know their hits and Pet Sounds.....and Kokomo. But they haven't heard their great albums from 67-73.
Was this all in the documentary?
I don't think all of it was in the documentary, but I think the Hawthorne High footage was. I'm not sure if all the driving scenes were in.
I pray Brian found or finds Jesus, he even said the demons from hell were after him. With repentance, faith and trust we all can be healed in Jesus precious name 🙏.
